Really Disappointed

Ordered here before and it wasn't too bad... but this time was awful. My order took 1hr 30m to arrive. Curry had leaked in the bag all over everything. Chicken Pakoras were rock hard and disgusting, the chicken didn't seem fresh at all. Also, last time I was given a container of rice twice as big. Really Disappointed.

Gone downhill!!

Ordered first takeaway since lockdown! Always looked forward to it, now they have changed everything!! There was no spice in anything! Onion bhaji were crisp but tasteless, chicken massala and korma also no spice at all!! Naan bread was thick and undercooked!! Will go elsewhere next time.

Used this place a number of times and was always good. This time however, the food arrived early which was good but unfortunately the only good thing. What we got was different to what we ordered, was luke warm at best and was just not very nice. I hope the people that got what we ordered enjoyed it but I will not be using this place again. Rubbish.

I ordered a takeaway for three of us. The person that took the order took forever to write it down and then repeated it back to me to check it was correct. I was told it was £56 exactly and would be about 45 minutes. One and a half hours later and a phone call to find out where it was, it turned up. When I checked the receipt I had been charged £56.01, OK it's only a penny but how many other customers has this happen to. Then I found part of my order missing so called them back and they said they would send it straight away. Instead I asked if they could refund it back onto my card as the rest of the meal would be cold by the time I got it. So they took my card details and I'm still waiting for the refund. This is not the first bad experience I had from here but I thought I would give them another chance. Never again will I use this curry house.

Terrible experience. They are just crooks!

Terrible experience last night with curry queen. I tried to place an order on delivery several times but each time got an error and the app wouldn't let me place the order. So gave up and phoned curry queen instead. The girl on the phone was clearly new and was hopeless. I had no faith that she had got the order right. Tried to pay by card over the phone and they bluntly told me they'd phone me back because they needed the line free to do the transaction. 10 mins later no phone call so I wondered if the girl had taken my phone number down wrong. So stupidly I phoned them to pay. The manager took my card details and I paid. I had to ask him how long the food would be. Customer service was just non existent. 20 mins later we had a lovely delivery driver arrive with 2 identical orders! I told her we only ordered 1 and she took the other one away but phoned me 5 mins later to say to check my bank account. Sure enough I had been charged twice. They'd obviously received the order from deliveroo. What upset me was that they had my telephone number and were preparing 2 identical orders for our address. Any decent place would have phoned me to check that there hadn't been some mistake and wouldn't have prepared the food and wouldn't have taken our money. I phoned the manager and he was rude and refused to give me a refund. Never ever again and I reccomend any person to avoid this place like the plague 😡

Sorry but we are very confused with this review. We do not have any female staff at this Indian Takeaway. Curry Queen have reported this review to Tripadvisor to be removed. This review has clearly been made to defame the business.

Appalling service. Ordered delivery through just eat. Took twice the amount of time as first stated. If I’d have known at the time of ordering I would of used somewhere else. Cold. And I mean cold when delivered. Left clear instructions to find my house. Ignored. Order incomplete. Unbelievable. Have to be honest and say food good quality once reheated was good BUT in this day and age you have to do better to get people to spend their money with you. Will no longer be using food delivery apps.

Over priced for low quality food

I have not been happy with your service today and will not use and will not recommend your company. £32 for prawn and mushroom curry lamb pitha that doesn't come with rice but is over £10! 2 pillar rice but I only got one!! And nan bread. It was not the best curry I have ether. I had the pitha was too spicy to eat. Contacted the direct about complaint but no reply

First time we've ordered from here but if what we've ordered and eaten this evening is their usual standard I certainly won't look to go anywhere else. Excellent, varied menu to choose from, each dish had fantastic flavours and all promptly delivered.

Ordered a takeaway was told 1 hour which is fine 1hour 35 minutes later still no food. Call them to be spoken to rudely by some women saying they’re busy. NEVER AGAIN

I ordered at 0630 for one curry and one rice. 2130 and still hacent arrived and the manager was just rude and said it's not his fault his drivers are busy. Will never order here again

Poor Customer Service

My husband and I have been using this take away for many years since not long after they first opened. We have always been very happy with the quality of the food, a couple of times we have got home to find items missing from our order but the staff have always rectified this. Last night I telephoned them with my order as usual which they took and told me how much it would be, I drove to collect the order at the agreed time and when I produced my bank card I was informed the card machine was out of order! No apology was offered, I explained I would have to go to a cash machine to get some money. The weather was appalling the rain was very heavy and some roads were flooded I duly went and found a machine and went back to the shop and collected my order. My point is they could have explained there was a problem with the card machine when I placed my order, if the problem happened after this they could have offered there sincere apologies but they simply were not bothered. I will be taking my custom elsewhere in future as I feel in this instance loyalty counts for nothing.

Nice Indian, small portions

We normally order from Curry Queen as we know its decent food. I cant complain about the food at all, only disadvantage I would say is the portions are very small comparing from previous Indian Takeaways. We ordered over £30s worth of food and we requested if dips come with popadoms but unfortunately not... you have to pay extra for these.. I know it's not a big issue but it is still a disappointment. We would order from another company next time.
