Had a lovely Sunday lunch here and will definitely be back again. We didn’t book and managed to get a table, the staff were lovely and friendly, the food was delicious (and portions quite large) and price was reasonable. Highly recommended.

Booked a table for 2 last Friday, via Opentable. We’re larks, not owls, so booked it for 6.30. My wife, as is her habit, had reviewed the menus on the website, and was looking forward to a couple of items from the A La Carte...More

Food is very good, generous and well-presented. We had roast dinners, great meat and tasty veg. Staff are friendly if a little inconsistent on service. Bad reviews seem to focus more on the latter than the former, I’m sure it’s just teething issues that will...More

Welcome to The George & Dragon Inn, Sandwich. This property dates from 1446 and has been a licensed inn since 1552. It has undergone many changes since it was built, but from the day it was first licensed over four centuries ago the house has never closed. At present business partners Sarah Boxall and Stephen Wren have the pleasure of running this historical inn. They deliver an outstanding range of traditional food and drink with a modern twist that caters to the needs of every customer. Head Chef Aaron and his team (Marc and Dan) create a new adventurous evening menu every fortnight using as much local produce as possible. Sarah and Stephen have kept this little gem of a pub oozing with charm and character and will continue to do so during their custodianship.
