Walked away from main area to find this after reviews on TA. On first appearance it looks quite shabby but once seated and looking at the mouth watering menu the charm of the setting becomes apparent. Boys loved the 'ridiculous hot chocolate', and my sister and I enjoyed the pick and choose veggie breakfast and avocado, toasted almonds and poached... More

We have eaten here a number of times. As a rule, the food is very good and the service friendly. However, the most recent experience was not a great one. I ordered poached eggs on toast, but when they arrived, they were hard-boiled. This obviously made my meal very dry, and as it had taken a while for the food... More

Scruffy (trendy?) surroundings, food was average, coffee was undrinkable, bill was high. Not good value for money. Much better places for breakfast nearby.

My husband and I visited Fort's Cafe for brunch last Sunday, having read the outstanding reviews on Trip Advisor. We did not book in advance as it was a spontaneous trip to Margate on a sunny day. Perhaps this was our mistake - on arrival, most of the tables seemed to be either taken or pre-booked. The waitress did not... More

I really enjoyed my full English breakfast. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding, I think I had one of the best black puddings of my life, the rest was also very tasty! My husband had a lobster roll which also was delicious! The service was very friendly and the place is cool but relaxed at the same time.

You don't think pure going to find a gem of a cafe while walking to it but it really is just that. The menu is really varied. As a vegan I went for the avocado on sour dough. Really creamy and much tastier than it sounds. Only recommendation is they should have some music. Would defo come again if in... More

First visit, went for breakfast with my family. I had full English veggie breakfast and my son and husband had the full English. We all agreed it was the best breakfast we'd had in a cafe .My homemade Glamorgan sausage was divine, really cheesy and the bubble was fab.Apparently the black pudding is amazing too.Excellent and friendly service and a great... Margate is not a thriving dynamic place and this small unmodernised seaside café didn't look at all promising. We were taken by friends who had heard that it was "under the radar" but served an excellent brunch so we pitched up to take our reserved table - reservations at a seaside caff yet! On the menu the provenance of the... More
