Food was amazing! Service a little slow, but I'm willing to put up with that for another meal here!! The cafe doesn't really look like much from the outside, but give it a try & I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

I visited Forts a few years ago and really liked it but hadn't been back. It's now apparently under new management and is just as good, if not better. I was warmly greeted by the staff and ordered the all day breakfast, at 2.30pm! A short while later I was served with one if the most delicious cooked breakfasts I've... More

Forts as we once knew it has 'gorn' like the Python Parrot 'tis no longer :-( Loved the place before new folk took over, intro'd many to its yummy menu and we all agreed Forts was special... it is no longer special and I'm grieving as are friends and folk who rated it as a spesh place to visit, especially... The best sausage bap in town! Looking forward to going back soon as the full English looked immense.

The veggie breakfast is seriously good - the Glamorgan sausage is delicious! The husband enjoyed his burger and I had to steal some of his delicious rosemary fries. Overall it wasn't cheap, but it's a friendly quirky place with good food. Kid & dog friendly - I'd recommend it!

Probably expected a bit too much from this place so ended up disappointed by coffee and atmosphere, however can't complain on the food, all well cooked, fresh and seasonned to my taste. Loved the rosemary fries & lobster.

The staff at this restaurant are very friendly, we were lucky to find a free table as the cafe is very popular. I had the eggs benedict and my partner the chorizo roll, they were both very good.

Walked away from main area to find this after reviews on TA. On first appearance it looks quite shabby but once seated and looking at the mouth watering menu the charm of the setting becomes apparent. Boys loved the 'ridiculous hot chocolate', and my sister and I enjoyed the pick and choose veggie breakfast and avocado, toasted almonds and poached... More

We have eaten here a number of times. As a rule, the food is very good and the service friendly. However, the most recent experience was not a great one. I ordered poached eggs on toast, but when they arrived, they were hard-boiled. This obviously made my meal very dry, and as it had taken a while for the food... More
