The Pasta really is very good. Just try not to sit in the back room, its a dull and uninspiring box with terrible acoustics- the table next to us all laughed at the same time and the noise was deafening. Also the wine list is waaaaay too expensive, although to be fair the house wine is OK. The front tables... More

I visited the Terracotta with family and friends. We seated by a damp wall and wondered what we'd done. However the meal was lovely, we ordered calamari, salmon, flat bread and mushrooms to share along with complimentary olives and bruschetta followed by pasta alla vongole and seafood pasta. Lovely food and the desserts were scrummy. The owner and waitress were... More

Originally found by chance while in the area for the International Rallycross meeting at Lydden Hill some years ago, this is our third visit. I'm not sure which we looked forward to the most this year, Peta Solberg and Sebastian Loeb blasting round the circuit or the meal at Terracotta! After a 160 mile drive through bank holiday traffic we... More

Truly traditional and scrumptious. We arrived without a reservation around opening time and was graciously accommodated even though the restaurant was fully booked for the evening. (Recommendation - always make a reservation). We had a variety to have a taster and highly recommend the spaghetti bolanaise, the fried courgette, and the mozzarella and rosemary flat bread. The house white wine... More

Visited midweek, very quiet but to be fair so was the rest of Hythe. Welcomed by the owners who were very lovely and accommodating. The food was of an excellent standard. Will definitely be going back :)

Visited the Terracotta on a weekend visit to Hythe and what a wonderful welcome we got. Menu has changed since our last visit but we tried the Vongolle and the new lamb dish as well as the calamari starter with a limoncello desert and the amazing cheese board to finish. Wonderful evening and thank you

Can't understand why there have been such a lot of negative reviews about this restaurant. Was taken here by friends who are regulars, and received a lovely Warm welcome from the owner and his lovely staff. Loads to choose from the very varied menu, all of which is cooked fresh,so may have to wait a while. When asked which wine we would... More
