Great food and atmosphere to suit all tastes. Food well cooked and presented by friendly knowledgeable staff. This was our second visit and will go again when in the area. You will need to book though. Only problem was that it was a bit cold inside.

The food and beer are very good. It is always popular and most times it is best to book. The menu is quite large with good specials every day. They do limit you to two hours...not a pub to leisurely drink at.

I recently attended this pub for the first time with a friend for coffee. The location is fantastic with a lovely garden. I spoke to a member of staff who seem very polite. All was going well until we met a man called David who i believe was the manager. Without any warning he bacame very rude and obnoxious to... More

Had an amazing meal in this pub on Easter Monday. Despite the fact the place was extremely busy, the staff were very attentive. The pub itself is beautiful. Would highly recommend it and we're returning for lunch this weekend!

We popped into the Henry for lunch today before visiting Hever Castle, 4 adults and 5 kids, they offered us to sit in the garden as they could not accommodate 9 at an inside table. The bar staff were a little stand-offish when we were trying to organize ourselves and order drinks. But our food came fairly quickly and all... More

Amazing service and food. I have a lot allergies and am gluten intolerant which makes it really difficult for me to eat out normally but our waiter and the chef couldn't have done more to help and make sure that there were options for me to eat.

We popped over to this lovely country pub after a visit to nearby Hever Castle. The weather was spectacular which we were able to admire from King Henry VIII’s ample outdoor seating area. I had two pints and a most delectable lamb and brie burger. Top atmosphere and food, and family friendly to boot.

Description
The King Henry VIII is a truly historic English pub, from its dramatic Tudor chimney stacks to its oak beams, open fires and panelled bars, all restored using traditional Tudor craftsmanship. The current building dates from 1647 but a pub has occupied the site since 1597.Opposite the entrance to Hever Castle, where Anne Boleyn spent her early years, this half-timbered and peg-tiled pub is a real gem. In summer the beautiful beer garden and pond make visits especially memorable and the roaring fires and polished wood panelling make it a welcoming and cosy place for colder months.Customers can expect excellent food in generous portions and a wide range of ales, beers & wines.
