Bland and dry.

I was so looking forward to this as I love Pie n Mash. It wasn't clean the tables were dirty with other customers rubbish. The pies were dry and the liquor was bland. Such a shame I had just moved here from Essex and had been homesick for a taste of the Eastend.

I visited this shop to try pie and mash which I had to pay for first asking please do not put liquor on the pie .I got a cup of tea in a cracked mug which i brought to the attention of the person serving me who stomped over saying it only a chip drink out the other side I... More

Went there with a few friends for p+m and pie and mash was nice liqueur could be better but not to bad! Mash wasn't lumpy which is always good but prefer scoops rather then a massive amount. Service wasn't the best the lady was swearing and dressed unprofessional. Overall id recommend take away rather then eat in as needs a... More

My wife and I ordered pie and mash. My wife can't stand liquor so she ordered gravy. When the meals arrived she took one bite and refused to eat anymore. I tried her gravy and it did indeed taste of fish. We complained and the woman said this was unavoidable as "everything is prepared together". The cook used the hot... More

Can't believe some of the reviews I've read on here.. I grew up on Cook's in Shepherds Bush and Manze's in Chapel Street and this is every bit as good as any of them.. Foods always been piping hot and tasty.. Always have 2 &2. Took my Mum Aunt and Uncle all Londoners in their 90's and they all thought... More

I must have gone on a good day,the pie amd mash was every bit as good as Harringtons in Tooting. Infact the mash (no lumps) was better. Couldn't find fault. Definitely will go again. With hope it wasn't just a one off.

Typical tiled pie and mash shop. Food nice but only one person waiting. Also you cannot pay by card.

Lots of nasty reviews on here about this nice pie shop. Went Thursday and had double with liquer, singles for kids and wife. For the record, it was pretty quiet but specifically Pies were all hot, not watery or soggy, mash had a couple of lumps but was not instant, just nice tasty spuds. Service quick and friendly too. Plates... More

i was really surprised when I saw the other reviews, we've been to this pie mash shop several times and we think it's great, we've never experienced bad service or rudeness. I will agree the tea was a bit like dishwater but apart from that we think it's a real treat. We come from South London and the food here... More

As an East Ender from Bow I think I'm more qualified than most reviewing Pie and Mash after being brought up on of Kelly's or Cooks over in Hackney. I have given this shop more than one try as living in Whitstable I thought that I could now easily satisfy my P&M craving. I was wrong. First time was a... More
