Wetherspoon Share

We had two Wetherspoon share for the table with some extra potato chips. It was a platter that included some byte size chickens strips, prawns and chicken wings. It was not the best platter that I had and there was something missing. The menu say spicy but it was not.

We were looking forward to Burns night and enjoying some Haggis, Neeps and Tatties but we had left it until the last evening of Wetherspoon's Burns week and with demand so high, restaurants were running out. We checked with 'The Leading Light' that they had some left so decided to go after work. With high expectation we ordered 2 portions... More

Very nice Wetherspoons and we had great attention from the staff who deserve praise for their attentiveness. Usual fayre to eat and seemed to be used a lot by locals and their offspring.

It's hard to not like a Wetherspoons when they give such great value and this was probably typical of the chain. A busy saturday in December was probably not the best time. service was slow and the tables were dirty but perhaps this was not usual? good value anyway.

The wife and I stopped here for a mid-afternoon snack whilst shopping. Normally big fans of Wetherspoons due to good service, food & keen prices. This one however was very disappointing. Grubby - litter all over the floor, sticky & uncleared tables - not a good first impression. Food arrived quickly but looked thrown together with little care given to... More

I had a curry on a Thursday and it was not good. I'd rather pay a bit more elsewhere and get decent food.

I like this pub despite its several faults. However on my last visit I was presented with very cloudy beer.Apparently the beer had been disturbed by one of the staff who had assumed the barrel to be MT.Shaken not stirred. As a non-Optrix drinker the taste was OK so I drunk both pints. My problem was ridicule from other customers,. I... More

Looking for a breakfast for myself and my wife. We decided this one would be "value for money". We ordered and waited a while. A little slow but no matter. They arrived. And looked "fair". Except my slice of toast consisted of. The two top slithers. Of two slices of bread. Which represented a total of 1/2 slice of bread.... More

Sorry to hear you did not enjoy your experience with us. Our traditional breakfast comes with one slice of toast cut in half for presentation as standard but you can order more as a side or the large breakfast comes with two slices. I am sorry to hear your breakfast was cold as our food is prepared to order so... More

No frills but cheap and lots of it, the staff work quite hard to please but with limited resources, Dont expect to much and you wont be disappointed.

Not a bad wetherspoons but the night we visited wasn't all that busy. All the more surprising that they claimed to have run out of wine glasses. Even more surprised to be asked if I wanted my glass of wine in a pint glass. Of course they did have some proper glasses. Sheer laziness

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry your visit with us what not satisfactory. I would like to discuss this further as being offered wine in a pint glass in unacceptable and not to our standards of service. If you would be willing to discuss this further please contact me on 01795 535075 or email p498@jdwetherspoon.co.uk Thank you Rebecca More
