Myself and four friends went for a meal at the spice lounge and had a wonderful time, great company , great food and great service. Also I cannot eat Coriander. When I told the staff they were very helpful and also informed me some places and the spice lounge use coriander powder in their dishes. So the chef made me a chicken jalfazzi from scratch. It was the best Indian meal I have ever had. Great when people go the extra mile. Well Done Spice Lounge.

Cozy interior. Friendly and smooth service. Not too expensive. Very good food (only the Onion Bhaji was a bit dry). Even got interesting explanation about the shatkora fruit as the basis of some regional dishes. Everything almost perfect. BUT!!! The wine 😱🤦‍♂️ - an odorless, tasteless Grapevine Sauvignon blanc, totally unsuitable for Oriental cuisine. We couldn't believe our eyes when we read the counterlabel. Just an ordinary Spanish cépage wine that is bottled in England for the Aldi chain. Currently on sale at 3.69 £, in Spice Lounge sold at 19.99 £. The other wines also came almost all from the Aldi. For a cause that is working on a better reputation, this is not done. A guest who orders wine with Indian food really won't be fussed about a wine that costs 30-35 £, as long as it's tasty and goes with the dishes. That's a shame, and not a 5/5.

We have ordered again tonight for the second time as our usual outlet has closed and omg the spice lounge does not disappoint ! All food has been delivered piping hot the meat has been as tender as you could ever imagine ! We have tried the chicken tikka masala, chicken jalfreizi and the lamb bhuna and accompanied with plain naan and Bombay aloo ! All foods we have ordered been cooked so well ! Flava has just been spot on and have to say the lamb bhuna I have just had was possibly the best one I have ever had and tried a lot of Indians ! Spice lounge deliverers the real deal and recommend them for sure ! You won’t be disappointed ! We can’t wait to be more adventurous with the menu and order along with visiting the restaurant for the full on dining experience

Have been coming here since first moving to Faversham way back, and it’s always a firm favourite for a takeaway, however I had not had a meal inside the restaurant for several years until recently. We were surprised to find the prices had increased exponentially since our last visit (like everywhere I guess) but our meal for 2 with a bottle of wine and 2 beers was almost £100 which for a meal for 2 I think is rather extortionate even in the current climate. The service is always excellent - non hassling but attentive and I do have to say the food is delicious. But with the prices it’s difficult to justify returning for quite some time. X

Arrived pre theatre opposite with no booking, they found a table. Prompt service on drinks and poppadoms . thankfully not a big menu but plenty of normal and special dishes on offer. Onion bhaji great and the marinaded lamp chops best in class. Mains where terrific, fresh, lovely presentation. Service from all staff attentive. Gripe - this is Faversham, not the West End of London - price is very high 2 starters and mains 2 beers £98

Just dropped in for a quick dinner. Food was fine, but for the recommended mushroom and lemon rice was charged 10 pounds extra. Drinks also too expensive. We sit on a table near the window, the table really needed a fresh up with new paint. Friendly staff and food OK.

Not sure how this restarunt is multi award winning as the chicken that both myself and wife had wasnt the best Portion size and flavour however upped my score. Price wise though £58 for 5 poppadoms, chicken tikka vindaloo, plain rice chicken tikka main and bombay aloo, cobra and water was a tad expensive. As mentioned spice wise for ne at least, as wife said no better than asda, upped the stars, but will try another restarunt next time when in Faversham

My mother-in-law is being cared for at home in our house in Faversham and is dying from melanoma. One of the things she really wanted was a descent take away curry so we ordered from Spice Lounge. The order was delivered late and was cold. Each of the main dishes was cooked in the same watery tomato based sauce even tough we ordered a wide variety of dishes that should have come with different herbs and spices as described on the menu. The vegetables were over cooked to the point that the Bombay Aloo and Saag Aloo were mash. The only thing worth eating in the end were the onion bhagi and the popadoms. Massively disappointed and let down and will not order from here again in reflection of the competition in Faversham and surrounds .

Very average this time. We had a takeaway and I was shocked by the high prices now.. My prawn Biryani was flavourless, dull and prawns very slightly undercooked. The accompanying tomato sauce based veggie curry was the same; plain, boring but edible. Luke warm too so had to reheat. I think their sauce based dishes such as korma and masala are generally better I’ve found. Perhaps I got a bad day but for the money, I was unimpressed.

last night i went to spice lounge, without a booking, but they seated the 5 of of immediately. i have been here many times before but my daughter and her husband it was the first time. Now i know the food is good but i was interested to hear what my daughter, who is a very fussy eater, thought of it. Well i had all my answers with clean plates and when we got home my daughter said she would have asked for any left over food to be put in containers and to take to her home. just for information we all had different starters , placed in the middle of the table and we all had little of everything. The main courses we did the same so everybody again could try different dishes, Lamb, chicken, prawn, vegetarian. All was well cooked, hot and served really well

The food is nice enough but the prices have risen so far above inflation it just feels too expensive for what it is. £4 for a naan and £6.50+ for a small vegetable side dish is simply too much for the portion size and quality - for us at least. Sadly after many years of visiting this restaurant it is likely that this will be our last.

Ordered a takeaway because I felt too tired to cook myself a meal after a long day at work. I ordered a vindaloo and the bindi bhaji (okra) as I fancied some spice and flavour to perk me up. I was drastically unaware that i was about to receive the most bland, unpalatable curry I’ve ever had the misfortune to receive out of the thousand or so I have eaten. There was zero flavour in the okra. Zero. Almost as if they washed it clean before sending it out. The vindaloo has all the spiced subtlety of a can of chopped tomatoes with a hot chilli bunged in at last minute before some beige and meaningless chicken breast was diced and thrown into the mix as an afterthought. The rice may or may not have stood next to some seasoning in a previous life time. I can’t fault the poppadoms, they are crunchy but even that cannot redeem the atrocity that has been delivered. It’s Monday so maybe the chef has had a day off and they have cajoled a ten year old into the kitchen to knock out the dishes this evening. Who cares. I’ll never ever order from this establishment ever again and I hope no one else has to suffer this sorry happenstance.

We’ve eaten at the restaurant several times and the food is good but extremely expensive. We’ve also ordered a few takeaways and unfortunately the food has not been good , no flavour, rice over cooked and no spice. Unfortunately we won’t be ordering again.

Made the mistake of dining on a "banquet" night, but we ordered from the a la carte menu. Beware diabetics, all the sauces were sweet - why has sugar been added? This is not authentic. Service was dire, so we gave up on deserts and coffee. We never saw an itemised bill, so whether we were charged correctly was arguable.
