We went to West House with another couple. The last time we went was about 20 years ago and tbh it was too formal. I'm sure it has changed hands several times since. We had a delicious white wine from a local vinyard which was organic. Think it was called Davenport. Our starter of smoked haddock, quails egg and crispy... More

Went to the West House for dinner and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and could not fault it or the staff. It was without doubt worthy of its Michelin star and really pleased it was not pretentious at all. I have seen a review about having to pour your own wine, well I am happy to and... More

First time we have visited The West Room and did so following seeing the chef being featured on a food programme with Rick Stein. The 16th century weavers cottage was delightful, tables well placed, music playing gently in the background. We received a warm welcome from staff on arrival. What a culinary delight from the juicy olives, petit fours and... More

Very good food hidden away in Biddenden. You may miss the entrance if you are zooming through the village. Friendly staff-the owner's son. Excellent food and long wine list with carafes for those who don't want to drink too much. Featured in the top restaurants to visit before you go in the world! Excellent flavours-delicious oysters and very interesting venison... More

Hadn't been here for a while so wasn't sure what to expect but had a wonderful evening. Cosy, warm, intimate restaurant - it was a quiet evening which was nice. Service efficient and pleasant. Every course was a delight - delicate balance of flavours and enough (over 3 courses) to comfortably fill you up. Delicious olives, small plate of petit fours... More

I loved the food at this excellent restaurant. The fare was fresh, tasty and varied. The wine list was reasonable and again good. A couple of pointers to improve. The bread was a little over cooked. The tap water should be filtered. Otherwise my biggest advice is be careful about what type of meal ambience you want. The restaurant is... More

We have eaten here several times and never failed to be impressed by the quality and balance of the cooking and unobtrusive yet friendly service. The tasting menu is a delight and the portion size perfect, I was once told by a chef that you should not leave a restaurant "full" just feel like you do not need to eat... More

I was lucky enough to have the pleasure of dinning here with a close friend a couple of weeks ago and I can honestly say that this was the culinary experience that I have long been waiting for! The food far surpassed my expectations and made a welcomed change from the run of the mill restuarants that line our towns... More

Fantastic experience! A very warm welcome and a personal introduction to Jackie,Jake and Matt (front of house). We were directed to our table and given plenty of time to decide on our menu choices. The taster menu (with wine) was an excellent choice and each dish and wine are fully described, you are allowed to enjoy the experience at your... More
