We have just got back from a three night stay. Our room overlooked the Solent and was really comfortable. The food was excellent. Staff looked after us well. I would definitely return. Thank you to everyone for making it such a great experience

We spent a week on holiday in Seaview, visiting the whole of the island but we enjoyed the food and service at The Boathouse so much that we ate there four times in our week’s stay. We ate at different times of the day when it was busy and quiet but everything we had was good and the staff were... More

We chose The Boathouse for dinner from the Good Pub Guide (sorry!), and it fully deserved its place: nice setting and comfy interior; generous portions of well-presented, tasty food - I barely finished my crab risotto - at reasonable prices; three real ales, including a 'house' brew from Goddard's; and efficient, friendly young staff. I'd go again, or to any... More

Would highly recommend The Boathouse! We have three young children and we're made to feel so welcome. Lovely friendly staff. The food is amazing, best we have had on the island!

Cold blowey Monday cycle ride with the family , pop into the pub for a coffee and to order some food , 11.15 wall into the pub to be grated with "You don't want food do you" We were then marched to a table at the back of the pub told we could not sit in various tables as they... More

We visited the Boathouse on a Friday night with a party of ten. The food and drinks are ordered from the menu or the daily specials board. (It's a must to check this out). We sat inside as the weather was wet but there are seats outside for summer dining. Sea view is great at the front and the atmosphere... More

We popped here for Sunday lunch after a long 9 mile walk. Unfortunately they were not serving roasts or off the specials board so we had to order of the table menu which was very basic. We both ordered the fish and chips it was ok filled a hole but not over wowed by it. Also not much atmosphere, service... More

The Boathouse is one of four pubs owned by the 'Inns of Distinction' group which operates across the Isle of Wight. It is one of our favourite pubs on the island. The Boathouse benefits from a beautiful location overlooking the Solent towards Portsmouth. It is also very handily placed for a lovely walk along the seafront from Seaview village to... More
