We try to eat here whenever we visit the island, and are always impressed by the quality of food and service. Today (sat 23rd July) was no exception. Our friendly waitrese simply couldn't do her job better, with an incredible eagerness to please. We ordered two small cod and chips with one tea, which came to £13, so great value.... More

We came here for a takeaway fish & chips after reading the reviews on trip advisor. Fish cooked while I waited. Very tasty, would recommend going here.

Went in for a sit down meal in the restaurant part, service was very good and the haddock and chips was lovely, even had homemade tartar sauce. Price was very reasonable too. Would recommend highly.

Went here through recommendations on here but was a little disappointed. Ordered cod chips peas bread and butter, and although expensive at £9.50 expected great things! Cod was nicely battered but flat and hardly any fish, chips frozen style and not typical chip shop chips and mushy peas similar to tinned. Service from young lad waiter excellent but meal average.

As regular visitors to the IOW, my family and I always get fish and chips on our last night before we come home - it's become a bit of a tradition over the years. Until this year, we'd always been to others in Ryde and Brading, but we won't go anywhere else in future. The service at Wights is friendly,... More

Classic Chippy, cod batter with a proper crunch revealing well cooked, fresh cod. Fair pricing, clean restaurant area and friendly staff.

We decided we wanted to get fish and chips, but our hotel was quite away out. By the time we would have got them back they would be cold. We found this one that had a nice sit in part. We were greeted by a very charming waiter, who quickly served us and got us our drinks. The meals we... More

Very nice fish and chips and tartar sauce was even better, must be homemade as we've never tasted any as nice as that! They only have one highchair in the restaurant so if you have more than one child that needs a highchair you might be stuck for options.

Fish and Chips are so delicious! The fish is lightly battered and not greasy and the tartare sauce compliments it very well. Good chips and mushy peas. Staff very helpful and friendly

Always visit this fish and chip restaurant when in Ryde just on the corner from the cinema the fish and chips are very good served with tarter sauce and a pot of tea makes a nice meal when on a trip to the Cinema
