Friends & I went for a "quick" meal before going out. As it is a beefeater the food was reliable, once it gets to your table. Had the same issue the past few times I've been here.

The Crow's Nest is now a Beefeater restaurant. We just had a lovely celebratory meal there for a couple of birthdays. The staff were very helpful and friendly despite them being at the end of a very busy Sunday lunchtime shift. There were 11 of us for lunch and so were asked to come at 3 o'clock rather than 2... Went here on a Sunday and had the Sunday roast. My husbands beef was plentiful and tender, my chicken was also plentiful and nicely cooked. Although we had the extra portions of potatoes, yorkshires and gravy, I would still prefer a carvery to this. But it was ok.

Working in the area I visited for dinner on two consecutive nights. Day 1 was great; a warm welcome, great food. Day 2 was terrible; left at the reception for 5 mins..not busy and 6 staff walked by. The food was burnt.

We've been to this restaurant many times and will go again. The food is exactly what it says in the menu - no surprises - with a good choice of options. If you can, get a window table as the views over the valley are great.

Unscheduled stop here and a very pleasant surprise indeed. The views from the restaurant were excellent and I had my breakfast looking out over some stunning scenery. The breakfast was to die for and a very pleasant young lady took control over my 2 day stay. The food in the evening was very good and service excellent.Very quick turnaround.

We were seated quickly despite not finding our booking. The steak was excellent and the service was good. A little too expensive for regular visits, but well worth an occasional visit or for a special occasion.

What a lovely place to visit. Straight away we were greeted by a very lovely member of staff who treated my 4 year old son like a valued customer, not many places do this, unfortunately the majority ignoring children. Straight away this made a tired, hungry mummy relax and smile. Well done, sorry I didn't get his name but assuming... More
