I am a fan of beefeater, especially the flat iron steak, so guess what I ordered?! I was on my own and when I arrived, the place was really busy, they looked like they were under pressure, which didnt bode well, however, the host was honest that he needed to clear a table for me, rather than just disappear and... Visited last Friday evening (6th). Easy enough to book online and loads of availability. As soon as we Sat down you could see it was fairly busy and Front of house staff were under pressure. Ordered starters, which were horrendously under portioned and not correct specification. Never have I had to wait as long as we did for the main... More

Despite booking we had to wait 25mins for a starter and then at least another 40 mins for our main course. What is the point of booking ? The venue is good, the food variable. My wife had sea bass which was very nice, however my sirloin steak left a lot to be desired., it was tasty but at least... More

When i visited here early last year they had the same problem as when i visted on friday 6th jan, 1hr 30min wait for food, difference being the dark head manager at the time came to each table, apoligised for the situation, and gave everyone free drinks and 25% off the bill, when leaving he personally apoligised to everyone leaving.... Phoned up on the 23rd December to ask if they were open for breakfast on Christmas Eve, was told "yes, just pop along between 7 and 11". Took the kids with me as a Christmas Eve treat about 8.45 to be greeted at the front desk to be told that they had lots of bookings at couldn't fit the three... More

Amazing breakfast, a bargain. The only industrial hotel toaster that toasts properly! Crumpets were perfect. Children 15 and under eat free with a paying adult. Staff friendly and efficient. Enjoy the view too if lucky enough to get conservatory table. Add fried bread to the menu choice and you will achieve perfection.

Was greeted by our server Jason with greeting how was your Christmas and new year and all that crap. Not the best of welcomes. Asked for tea , told urn was broke and that tea would take along time because he would have to boil a kettle 3 times so we had coffee. Ordered starters , no problems Ordered mains with... More

A recently refurbished restaurant with great views on a nice sunny day. Food is good (and on the rare occasion it's not, it's been quickly sorted). In common with most Beefeater restaurants I imagine they generate a lot of their trade from the attached Premier Inn, however, this particular restaurant also has a lot of local custom due to the... Don't go there unless you got 3 hours to spare it's the worst service of any restaurant I've been to, 30 to 45 minutes between courses 30 minutes to get your bill is average it's a shame because food is quite good , I won't be going there again

We stayed next door at the Premier and had both breakfast and dinner at this pleasant pub restaurant. The staff were efficient, friendly and so pleasant, can't be faulted. The breakfast was an excellent spread with hot food cooked to order. Dinner and drinks were good too and the food just gorgeous, especially the salmon fillet o. Garlic potatoes! Good... More
