Service was ok. Food was average. Fish was small, peas were hard, chips were ok ....... not best value, certainly eaten better at local chippy

Eaten here several times. Menu consistently good. Waitress very helpful dealing with dietary issues. Service neither slow nor rushed. Always a pleasure to visit. We will be back soon.

Tucked away by the Grand Union canal, pleasant pub with good choice of beers including ale from the Tring Brewery. On a summers day great place to sit in the garden next to the canal. Today a bit cold so nice to sit in the bar which is nicely decorated with 'rustic' furniture. Good food menu with plenty of variation.... More

Visited this place midweek, still very busy but managed to get a table. Excellent steak with chilli. Staff very friendly with a good selection of drinks.

It's a 'free' pub so first and foremost you get a broad choice of beers rather than the fairly limited choice in the local tied pubs. The food also gives you a wider choice than most pubs, the menu varies regularly and all the dishes are well prepared and generously portioned. Being on the canal means the number of customers... Three of us had lunch today in the Grand Junction Arms. Lovely setting right by the canal. Big garden if the weather allows outside dining. The staff were friendly. Food was simple that we ordered but very well cooked. I enjoyed my fishcake with a poached egg on top and coveted with Hollandaise sauce. Highly recommend a visit. Loved hearing... More

Really impressed by this lovely pub. 4 of us visited on a Friday night and had the perfect pub meal experience. Delicious food made to a very high standard, very fresh fish and chips and a superb fish curry. The young lady who served us was a delight, very friendly and helpful. A great location by the canal, beer garden... More

We called in because we were passing and it was lunchtime and both had the haddock and chips from the menu. It was honestly the best fish and chips we have had in years. It was piping hot, the batter was light and crispy, the haddock cooked just right and the chips obviously from real potatoes, not reconstituted, and double... More
