The Old Cock Inn does a delicious Sunday Carvery. Minimum three joints of meat, of which you can choose all, some or just one, together with a wide selection of vegetables including roast potatoes, roast parsnips, peas, cabbage, coli flour, and lashings of gravy, all for £8.95. It's a great pub anyway with lots of character, so the lunch is... More

I have not visited this inn for several years, the last time i managed to eat there having a Christmas meal. This time we settled for drinks, the pub, which offers accommodation also, really looks the part externally however internally it did look a little on the tired side.We were going to order lunch but a few of the tables looked a bit grubby so... The Old Cock Inn has gone through a range of face lifts in the last 5 years and I still not convinced it knows what it wants to be. It risks being caught betwixt and between a pub, an entertainment venue and restaurant and falling short of all of them. It needs to find the courage of its convictions to... More

We needed a hotel for a flight out of Luton early morning. We didn't fancy a regular airport hotel so decided on the Old Cock Inn. It looked really charming and well placed for the airport. We were very disappointed. For such a lovely building, it was very run down. The room was OK and the towels and bed linen... More

Recently visited this establishment. Very run down with broken furniture etc. Went with a group of work colleagues for some food and unfortunately the service and food quality was way below par. This was the overall feeling for most our group. I believe the brewery have a temporary land lord operating this establishment currently. He, his partner and staff could... More

Nice, welcoming and friendly pub. Appearance is nice but the tables could have had a better wash down. Nice hot drinks and a lovely selection of soft drinks. A deck and microphone would suggest it would be good in the evenings.

On the spur of the moment, we stopped by today and tried The Old Cock Inn's new Sunday Carvery.. (They only serve a Carvery on Sunday) My other half had all four different meats on offer, Yorkshire pud and stuffing and I had the Cheese and Beetroot tart (veggie option). The plentiful variety of vegetables (fresh not frozen) in which... More

We came in on Friday 30th Dec & had a delicious dinner - seafood platter was amazing; gammon, eggs & chips was brilliant and the ribs - yummy! Mulled wine for £2.50 was another winner!

The inn itself is lovely, however, they do not provide do not disturb signs so we were woken up early every morning and I suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome so as you can imagine it wasn't ideal. Also the cleaning staff bring their screaming 2 year olds to work everyday meaning even if they did provide do not disturb signs,... More
