Wonderful Sunday lunch. Portions are generous and the food is super tasty. The beef was rare, parsnips crispy, Yorkshire puddings huge and gravy silky smooth. Really atentative staff too.

Revisited a place we hadn't been to for several years as we had excellant memories of our previous visit and wanted somewhere special. Nice and friendly welcome, waitress attentive and food evry good, shame Maitre d' didn't mind his own business, as soon as he got involved service went downhill very fast. It was obvious they could not cope with... More

Called in 'off the cuff' to grab a bite to eat on our way home...... WOW!!! The food served here is, indeed, first class, service was equally good. Can't wait to return!!!!

Went there twice in one week. Once for lunch which was excellent , wine was lovely! We had mushrooms and hullomi dish yummy. Down side before we had even decided on wine the waiter had cleared the wine glasses and side plates. He did not even speak to us whilst doing it. Second time in the evening main course excellent.... A lovely traditional pub, all black oak, scrubbed pine tables and Windsor chairs. A maze of different rooms, making you feel as if you are in an oldy-worldy version of IKEA trying to find your way back to your table after a visit to the loo or trying to find the exit. The menu for Sunday lunch is understandably quite... More

This pub can be used as the starting and ending point for a great walk, and what could be better after 7 miles around the Wye Valley than a welcoming pint of local brew Butty Bach (very good!) and a good selection of interesting meal choices, right at the top end of the gastropub spectrum. All this is served with... More

We booked two rooms for an overnight stay and were very happy with the standard of accommodation. A party of eight then met in the restaurant for dinner and this was of a very high standard. Service was good and added to the overall impression of a well run restaurant. In the morning breakfast was served swiftly and was first... More

I'm not a fan of writing negative reviews. I hope this will help improve their standards to the level we were accustomed to. A lunchtime treat turned to a visit at a takeaway on our way home. The waitress took our order for food and checked with the kitchen for vegan options. She said the Chef would be used to... More
