A lovely place to eat. Food is very tasty well prepared with high quality produce. A nice pot of tea too. Lots of quirky gifts and toys to buy at very reasonable prices. Theres A nice tea garden at the rear but too showery to try. Staff are friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money. A children's paradise awaits with... More

I used to like Flowerdew's. Not any more. Their policy of employing disaffected teenagers with 'attitude' has cost them my business today. It should be said that the food was okay. Not particularly special but definitely okay. It was the 'attitude' and 'couldn't care less' approach that hacked me off. Our order was taken grudgingly (I was eventually forced to... More

Visit here regularly and love it. Ray and Molly are lovely and so are their staff. My 2 year old loves going here for lunch and gets spoiled by everyone. The food is always wonderful and arrives quickly. Would definitely recommend

We went there for lunch, it was okay, the whole inside smelled of bacon but we went outside. I had a filo and spinach pie and they seemed to not have a clue how to use filo pastry, it was verging on raw. My partner had a piece of pie and enjoyed that. But what really riled me was that... More

Went in to what only can be described as a shed with a kitchen the place looked like a car boot storage room there were screaming kids in there and after being served by a miserable member of staff who stunk of booze he plonked on the table like he didn't care a meal that looked like it had been... I am local so often pop in with either my children after school/in the holidays,my mother in law,a family treat with hubby or just by my self. I have a lot of different food issues (gluten and dairy free as well as a few others).and I've always found the owners to be more than helpful in trying to find things... More

In some cases an establishment doesn't fit neatly into TripAdvisor's categories; this is one of them. Indeed Flowerdew's (with the apostrophe not awarded to it by TripAdvisor) describes itself as a tea room and gift shop.
