Took the family for a meal here for a treat to celebrate the start of summer holidays after their last day at school. I had Steak, which came out on a tiny plate with two tomatoes and about 8 big fat greasy chips. That was it, no peas, no salad, no coleslaw, looked like something from a truckers cafe, but... More

Worst ploughmans ever! £12 for two slices a cheese an apple and half a tomato! The waiter was rude and swore at us when we asked if there was any salad with the ploughmans!! As locals never to return!

Set in the New Forest and outside seating is great. The pub was very dark and "tired" looking and lacked any character. Typical pub grub type food and a good range of ales, the food arrived quickly but it was very average as was the service.

I visited this establishment many years ago and although I live locally have never repeated the visit. So I was looking forward to visiting again, this time with my son, daughter-in-law and grandson. For once the weather was good so all looked set for an enjoyable time. On arrival the car park, although spacious was seen to need some upkeep... More

After talking our dog out for a long walk and getting very wet, we decided to stop at this pub and have some lunch. We were very welcome with the dog and the staff were friendly and chatty. We both had the bacon cheeseburger and chips. The food was tasty, hot & good value. The atmosphere was great too. We... More

This traditional English pub offers home cooked food, open fires, indoor/outdoor seating and a children’s playground. Dogs, horses and coaches are welcome. There is a large field across the street where wild horses often visit. We did not see horses on the day, just evidence that they were there. We stopped by for a brew while visiting the park. Treat... More

Today we (5) went to this pub for lunch, one word awful, not only us but other people had the same experience. Didn't even look appetising, burnt chips, cold wet quiche, and the salad was hacked (literally) cucumber, not a lettuce leaf or tomato in sight. I don't know what's going on there, but whoever cooked this seriously needs firing.... More
