It's been a few years since we visited here last. The place and Decor have remained pleasingly the same but it has been under new management for the last two weeks. The new landlady I spoke to was like the rest of the staff, very pleasant and found time to answer any questions or laugh politely to bad jokes. The... More

Four of us visited this pub in the New Forest. There was not a great choice on the menu. All had different main courses. Each agreed that the meal was well cooked and was presented well on the plate. You had to take your choices to the bar to order your meals. Once ordered the food was not too long... More

Went with friends one evening but was disappointed with the service as we had a terribly long wait and the food was a bit cold by the time it had arrived 😤

We walked to this pub today for lunch from our campsite approx 2.5 miles away. Our first impressions were great , good looking pub, spacious garden, great kids play area and friendly staff. The price of the food is pretty much what we would expect to pay at home in London and not really surprising as it is mid summer... More

I have been stopping for a drink and food in this pub for years. After this last visit I realised it had changed hands and the prices had increased considerably. The food was very poor for the prices being charged.

Stumbled upon this pub whilst touring through the New Forrest. We wanted to find a pub with decent food and a nice ambiance. This place could be a gold mine and the food we had was ok but i have had better for less money and i dont like the fact that you cannot order your drinks and add them... More

Staying at a campsite not far away, we were recommended this pub, amongst a couple of others, to visit during our stay. The name of the pub, to give it some context, comes from the gentleman who became infamous during an ill-fated hunting trip when he fired an arrow and accidently killed the then Monarch King William Rufus 11 in...
