Called in for a family meal. Food was very poor. Pie was soggy having been microwaved & gravy was like jelly. Scampi was om but nothing special. Very overpriced for the quality considering other pubs locally & disappointing as we have previously visited.

We stopped here on the way back from the coast as a family. From the front it looks a nice pub, but the rest of it is a different story. The pub looks as though at some point in the last few years, it has been cared for but now it appears very run down and neglected. Although we all... More

Called in to this place while passing and have to say it was excellent! Great real ale, nice staff, excellent value for money food and the best chocolate brownie I've eaten in years!!!! Worth a visit? Defiantly!!! Will undoubtedly pop in when in the area again. Recommend...,

While staying at nearby Hollands Wood campsite we decided after a long days walking to choose a nearby pub to have our meal. It was a Saturday night so initially quite anxious about getting a seat, but have no fear it was very quiet, which as a seasoned 'foodie' worried me a bit. The menu and ordering is old fashioned... We popped in here for a drink before heading off for dinner elsewhere. The barman seemed confused when asked for a pint of lager!!! The service was awful. There were plates uncleared from previous diners everywhere. Tables were sticky and dirty. The garden was unkept and the grass needed cutting. Silly things that all add up. I would never return

Stayed overnight in the car park in our camper van (Bongo) last Saturday Met up with 12 other vans that also stayed overnight. Lovely staff and excellent food. Landlord Mike went out of his way to accommodate us all, lighting the fire pit when it got chilly and chatting to us late in to the night. Even making bacon sandwiches... More

Arrived Saturday teatime as we were staying overnight as part of a group of Mazda Bongo owners attending an event at Beaulieu the next morning. Mike the landlord was so welcoming when we arrived. A group of us sat in the enormous rear garden and ate some food and then as dusk fell Mike lit the most enormous brick built... More

Spent Saturday night here with a group of friends and were really looked after by the staff and owner. Definitely on my list for the future.

Stopped here on our way home from camping trip in New Forest. Friendly staff and quick service. Kids had the children's menu we had scampi & chips which was also good. Children liked the outside play area.
