I visited here with my wife. We called up and they were fully booked, but promised to keep the first table that became free, which they did. All of the staff that we met were super nice and very helpful. I had the aranchini which were superb and my wife the black pudding crockets which were also excellent. Both starters... More

We visited on a cold winter's Tuesday lunchtime. There was a great log fire in the pub part but it was cold in the restaurant where we ate. I started with Arancini (rice balls) with bone marrow and a spicy tomato dip. This was attractively presented and a snip at only £3.99. My wife chose beer-battered cod and chips £12.99).... More

A second dinner in the bar at the Three Tuns and both of them great ! Excellent food and wine served by very friendly staff. An absolute joy and we shall most definitely be back. There is a lot of great pubs in this part of Hampshire and the New Forest but this one is right up at the top... More

Over 20 of us had the Christmas meal which we booked in advance. It was superb. I had turkey which I thoroughly enjoyed. Would recommend it.

With my wife away from home for an extended time I have been having my Sunday lunch here for the last couple of weeks. For the last Sundays, I have ordered the Roast Beef and it has been truly delicious. Wonderful rare, tender local beef and accompanied by roast spuds, yorkshire pudding and beautifully cooked veggies. At £12.95 it is... More

We have been here several times in the last few months ( since we moved to a nearby village) for meals or just a drink, and we always enjoy the experience (as has our chocolate lab). It's lovely to have a great local with a cosy bar, a good restaurant, and a welcoming dog biscuit or two.Today we chose it... More

The Three Tuns really can't be rated highly enough. The bar staff are attentive and friendly, with great knowledge of their beer which frankly doesn't happen enough elsewhere! Having eaten numerous times in the bar and restaurant the food really is fantastic, the arancini balls are amazing!

Went in for a quiet drink with friends on a Friday before Christmas. Treated like lepers. Can't believe we were treated like silly teenagers. How obnoxious can you be? Will recommend all keep away when visiting Romsey. Plenty of welcoming places to drink nearby.

Have been before and happy to meet friends there again as it's midway between where we live. Only been at lunchtime but it's always busy even on a grim November Tuesday. A proper old fashioned English pub, the type to take foreign friends to to experience the real McCoy. Big wood burner, stone flags, beams etc.Suggest you book. We had... More

Smallish dog friendly pub. Gets very busy in the evening so if you are hoping to dine then it is a good idea to book - at 6pm (when they start serving food) they only had 2 unreserved tables. Food was very good - we had the burger and mussels and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend it!
