Ordered goats cheese starter only to be told 30 minutes later it wasn’t available. Had a sirloin steak main. Website indicated it would be char grilled .. it wasn’t . Just pan fried / grilled. Ordered rare it was medium at Best. Sent it back....Manager didn’t come back to my table. When I paid I asked him what chef said and he responded that the kitchen staff said there was nothing wrong with it.!! My 36th year as a chef so I found this laughable. Certainly won’t return. On a positive note the bar staff were very friendly and attentive.More

Really nice pub & friendly staff. The food was great & theres a lot too choose from. The staff were so helpful as my wife needs to have gluten free diet & they had enough time to tell us the choices. Highly recommended!

Very friendly service and excellent food. Chicken and Bacon Caesar salad was delicious. Everything a good Caesar should have anchovies and plenty of Parmesan and dressing

So good to visit a well run pub, selling great real ales and having such a range of home fired pizzas. Had a very pleasant lunch which was enjoyed by us all.

Late booking on Saturday night for a group of cyclists staying locally. Helpful staff, great service and excellent Italian menu. We had a wide selection of choices which hit the spot perfectly, thank you Queens Head!

After being recommended the Queens Head, we went for dinner yesterday evening. The food was great and the pizzas were the best I’ve eaten locally. The staff were attentive, friendly and working really hard. Will definitely return and support the pub through lockdown by ordering...take away.More

The Queen's Head is our local and we love it for the warm atmosphere, delicious food, great selection of drinks, and friendly service. We haven't eaten there in a while as a family due to covid but could not have been more impressed with our...dinner. I never write reviews but felt compelled to do so this evening. The pizzas were cooked to perfection and the sea bass really really tasty with melt in the mouth potatoes. We felt very safe taking the grandparents there and they also were raving about the night out. Thank you!More

Can’t believe this pub is on my doorstep. Perfect pizza and exquisite real ale (Palmers Dorset Gold) ... it’s a match made in heaven. Can’t wait to go back.

Pretty average roast dinner, but a decent portion size and appetizers (olives) were very good and excellent value. The manager was very polite but a couple of the staff slightly rude. Wouldn’t go out of my way to return, but would pop in if passing....Very pleasant setting and nice gardenMore

Visited this afternoon and sat in the back bar, we checked that it was okay to bring in our puppy and were told ‘yes’, ordered our drinks and sat down. We sat down and a few minutes later our puppy retrieved something from under the...chair, she had found rat poison on the floor in what looked like an old ashtray!!!!!!! The bar staff admitted it was poison and we rushed our puppy to the vets, praying she survivesMore

This is a lovely cosy village pub with a wood burning stove, though probably more of a restaurant than a pub. I was very pleased with my lunch; although most people seemed to be eating pizza, the Specials were varied and interesting. I enjoyed a...fine ale and the staff were friendly, offering an excellent service.More

A lovely, cosy pub with a good selection of unusual and pleasant ales, great staff and service, plus excellent Italian food - a superb combination! It was our first visit today and we were really impressed, we'll certainly call again if in the area.
