Rustic home-cooked food is the order of the day at The Old House at Home, a 17th century pub in Havant. The best Sunday roast thanks to our seasonal ingredients and the meat from our superb local butcher. Choose from six ales, four lagers and a fridge full of craft beers!

Tasty steak and great service at this pub in Havant. Staff are friendly and they happily made a few adjustments to the meal and replaced a couple of items with something else.

We ordered our Sister a Chicken Roast dinner - she is gluten free, and although they could not "guarantee all foods" - the young lady went out of her way to speak to the Chef. She was advised not to have certain items - but...the kind Chef made her a separate dish of cauliflower cheese (gluten free). The meal arrived with mouth-watering crisp roast potatoes, delicious succulent chicken and lovely vegetables. My Sister thoroughly enjoyed her delicious roast dinner. We can't wait to eat there again - which will be soon. Thank you to the lovely Manager/Staff & Chef.More

Visited this place with friends, and its a small place, obviously struggling to interpret the latest covid rules. Our particular favourite was "no vertical drinking" we enquired whether we should be horizontal to drink?! They also brought our wine glasses to the table on a...tray, but informed us that they couldnt touch the glasses, so we would have to take them off the tray. When we finished our drinks and meals, they were able to pick everything up? very confusing, but quite amusing! The choice of food was limited, as with all places these days, but what they did was good, hot and tasty. 3 of the group had the vegan burger (1 added cheese as he isnt vegan but liked the sound of it. This was made from seitan (never heard of it before but was a definite success!! I went for steak and also their fish fingers (dont ask). All food was lovely and staff were helpful. The decor and general interior could do with an update which affects my overall review, but i would happily go back there. Overall a really reasonable meal, as including a bottle of wine and beers the cost was about £20 a head.More

Unfortunately for the 5th and last time of visiting this pub, I won’t be back anymore. 4 out of 5 times I’ve experienced nothing but problems with pub goers in this place. It seems as though from closures of other pubs in Havant, the problem...people have found their way here albeit it may not be every night. It also seems as though this is not being recognized by management and bar staff, I am surprised they still serve drinks to them and thus must boil down to money rather then the respect of the pub. I would much rather spend a lot less on my drink and get better company in Wetherspoons with better security and a better selection of drinks then go here again. If I could rate zero believe me I would.More

Visiting Hampshire last Sunday we randomly found this restaurant so made a booking, which, incidentally was the right thing to do! 3 in our party. Two had roast lamb and one roast beef which was beautifully cooked and plentiful. There was more than sufficient food...on the plate of the highest quality. Could only manage ice cream for pud and so glad we did because it was of the highest quality. The salted caramel was creamy and delicious! Highly recommend. One of the best purveyors of Sunday lunch we have ever found. So sorry we live over an hour away otherwise we'd probably be there every week!More

Always loved this pub with live music. Cannot find what's on website doesn't say. Annoying. Also price of drinks is horrendous. Most punters especially youngsters divert to witherspoon. Please price drinks sensibly. Even your staff say too expensive. I go there less and less nowMore

Had a lovely meal in this super pub in Havant this week. We each had the Tuesday special, steak and chips with a glass of Malbec. Food was just perfect. The Old House at Home has been our local for well over 40 years and...although this is more a eatery than a regulars pub, they still look after their beer. We will be eating from their Christmas menu later this month and look forward to that.More
