My wife and I visited the lord Raglan on a rainy Saturday in September after 6 mile walk accompanied with our wet Labrador dog for a beer and gin and tonic. We found the bar staff very welcoming and friendly. In the evening we decided...More

Lovely garden on a sunny day, as it's alongside the water. Food is reasonably priced and good quality. Pleasant atmosphere.

Thank you for this fantastic review! Our garden has been very popular this summer, and we are pleased you were one of the many who thoroughly enjoyed it!

We are Emsworthians and have visited The Lord Ragland for many, many years. The last landlord could come across a bit abrasive (which I'm sure was unintentional) however this put us off from frequenting this historic pub for a few years. However, the new managers appear...More

Sorry you had to wait a while for your second drink. I’m sure it wasn’t intentional as our staff are usually good at spotting the ‘queue’ at the bar. I can only apologise for that oversight. However, to give a scathing review based on that...More

A great location. It had a good choice of food for all, Sunday roast was excellent and I had a vegetarian tartlet. Access to outside garden for a wheel chair. And spot the Poldark cast lookalikes!!

Thank you for your review, and the praise on our food. Appreciated. Intrigued by the Poldark cast lookalikes??? Guessing that’s the staff members 😄 Thank you!

Called in mid week good choice at reasonable prices. Sat inside but beer to the rear looked inviting. Quick friendly service would visit again.

Not too sure of the new owners approach - entertainment can be ropey- beer fine service ok'ish - used to be a very popular pub back in the dayMore

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We took over this pub in January 2010. Since then, there has been a considerable amount of refurbishment done to bring the standard of the pub back up again. Our garden is amazing! Not sure...More

The Sunday Roast is the shining star of this friendly local boozer. It’s consistently good, with a good selection of meats and a decent portion of veg served on a side plate so you can serve up your roast to your preference. Also like that...More

Description
The Lord Raglan is an 18th Century traditional pub, backing on to the Slipper Mill Pond and the River Ems. This lively pub is well known locally for its friendly atmosphere, great food and top notch real ale. There is an exciting selection of dishes to enjoy from bar snacks to three course meals - the sizzles and steak and mushroom pie are a must, very tasty. Weekends are very busy so it is well worth booking a table if you wish to eat. Sunday evening is live music night which is hugely popular and has a regular following and draws a friendly mixed crowd.
