We visited on a weekday lunchtime and we just had sandwiches. Although they were served with a few chips and salad, we felt the sandwiches were rather plain, just served on thin cut bread. We were also seated upstairs, which was cold and uncleaned. I would need to return in the evening to judge a cooked meal and the atmosphere.

We had a loverly evening at Hatters. The tapas was delicious and the wine list was very good good. Gin looked interesting but we didn't try anything (this time!). Service was friendly and efficient. We'll be back to try the hot rocks. Would definitely recommend. Only quibble - larger selection of tapas would be good, especially fish.

Unassuming and very quiet from the outside. Menu is a mix of the classic tapas dishes, all ingredients were of a high quality and cooked very well. We tried everything except the squid and prawns. Wine list was very interesting but didn't get beyond my first choice as it was so good!

We had a very memorable time drinking rare Twisted Nose Gin and fine Crianza Rioja. all of our party particularly enjoyed cooking steaks on the Hot Rocks which was a fun and new experience. If your looking for a really good night out with family or friends these guys have nailed it and are definitely worth a visit.

We last visited when this was The Copper Kettle, I'm not sure if it's changed hands or just had a new name and re-fit. The breakfast was much as before. My only criticism would be the sausages, would be nice if the could ditch the cereal version and go for something more meaty, then this would make my number one... More

Recently changed hands from The Copper Kettle to Hatters. Only the downstairs was open today as I was advised upstairs was now a wine bar in the evenings. Despite getting a table today having upstairs closed may make booking a table more advisable? We had a pleasant lunch with well cooked, well priced food. I had a tuna mayo jacket... More

We visited on a snowy and wet Thursday evening, unfortunately the place was empty (but being early January and having snowed all day we can't blame them for that) We had prebooked their 'hot rock' menu, I had the scallops and prawns and the wife had the steak, very impressed! The list of the wines by the glass is an... More

Would definitely recommend and will be returning. Cosy place with good food, we have had the hot rock steak/fish in the evening and some stuff off the daytime menu too; with the daytime cakes being a hit as well as the breakfast. Tapas is the evenings is also fab. Look forward to trying all the gins one evening! I worry... More

Visited here on several occasions with family. We have eaten a broad range of foods from the menu and have enjoyed every one. The prices are reasonable and I love eating in here.

Bolognese was bland & tasteless with little sauce with a huge pile of spaghetti. Cottage pie, the mince was OK needed more verge in it. Potatoe was not seasoned, hard & leathery. Going for many yrs. this was not a good experience
