Popped in for breakfast and it was so nice to have a log fire to sit near. The breakfast menu has lots of choice and the staff were efficient and helpful. My husband had a bacon and egg bap and my omelette was delicious. Very reasonable and will be going back.

Just finished the carvery and whilst I sit here stuffed, I am again extremely happy with what we have had. The carvery is fantastic. The meat portions have been reduced since our last visit, but this is probably a good thing as I defy anyone to leave here hungry. Tip for others, coming later means the lunchtime rush has long... We called in here for a pub lunch today (Wednesday) having visited once before some months ago. We were immediately made welcome and water provided for our dog. The pub was comfortably busy with a lovely atmosphere and we took a table in the bar close to the roaring log fire. The staff are very friendly and helpful and a... More

Very good value for money. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The coffee was good and there seems to be a good range of beers and ciders. Lovely pub/restaurant.

The first visit was for a 40th birthday celebration and the staff kindly served the cake we brought in and sang to the birthday boy even thou it was a very busy sunday lunch time. The... More

We are vegetarian so had the Veg Nut roast. Food was good, the vegetables at the carvery were well presented and well prepared. The staff were nice and polite and to be fair we left happy. It is difficult explain why (given my comments) I have marked it average. I suppose it lacked a wow factor, the toilets were a... More

A friendly pub but the carvery was disappointing - beef was tough. I was disappointed that the 'landlord' did not offer any recompense on our meal (the beef was inedible) and instead said he would have a word with the butcher! We probably won't go again.
