My partner and I visited here on a Sunday afternoon. We didn't book so made sure we got to the pub early. We managed to get a table next to log fire. The pub itself has that authentic pub feel, full of character and charm. The staff were friendly and attentive, which always help in the experience. My partner and... More

We stopped here during a long walk for lunch. Lovely outside area with big tables. Good choice on the menu, great food and very friendly service.

I was looking for somewhere to take my 81 year old mum for Mother's Day, and came across The Yew Tree. As the reviews on this were so good, I phoned and booked......and am so glad I did - it was brilliant: friendly staff, great food (large portions and fantastic presentation), really good value for money. It will stay in... More

We have visited the Yew Tree a number of times as we live nearby, and we will keep coming back. There's so much to like: a genuinely interesting wine list with some hidden gems; a regularly changing menu of delicious specials and a wonderfully warm and friendly welcome from Tim and his team. It is fair to say that the... More

The Yew Tree is simply the best pub around, great food, great local beer and great people. This is what every country pub should be like. Tim is a fantastic landlord with an amazing team. We are lucky to have it as our local.

We visited this pub with our 11 year old daughter on a Friday evening at 7pm and were astounded at the buzz and busy bar full of friendly locals - we sat in the restaurant and were treated to huge portions of fabulous pub grub - this place is really informal and friendly and is the ideal haunt for a... Visited here today for lunch with a 5 year old and 4 other adults. Service was good, staff very friendly and helpful. All of our food was excellent, well cooked and well presented. Bit out of the way to find, but will definitely be back.

Rural pub famed for its high standard of cuisine, restaurant and public bar. Dogs welcome as are walkers. You have to book tables in advance to avoid disappointment

Well now - would never have found this place without the help of Trip Advisor! Then read the blurb on the website and thought, yes, I like the sound of this... Phoned at 12.15 on a Sunday and asked for a table - no problem,, Friendly staff, busy, good atmosphere,, I loved the story behind the place and the fact... More
