Hi Joy, Thanks for your review. I can assure you that the cakes are always covered. The scones spend the first 15 minutes of the day uncovered as they need to cool down as they are straight out of the oven, when we covered them...More

Tried here as a change from the two main coffee chains. Nice decor, lovely garden, plenty of space. Amazed that they couldn’t offer skimmed milk for ‘skinny drinks’ in these health conscious days. Kiddy friendly (but hey!!!). I will stick to the main 2 coffee...More

Hi, Thanks for the review. We stopped carrying skimmed milk several years ago. Unlike most Coffee Shops, we use semi-skimmed milk for our standard coffees and found so little demand for skimmed that we were constantly wasting milk. I have reviewed your comments with our...More

Hello, As I explained in our various emails, I am really sorry that we let you down on this occasion. Our Coffee Shop manager really did not realise that you had hurt your ribs and in hindsight did not act with as much urgency as...More

Thornbury's best kept secret garden! Really good coffee and a delicious cake selection provided by friendly servers. On sunny days the garden is a must and the entrance shop has a very interesting range of products. Without doubt our favourite coffee stop in Thornbury.

Hi, Thanks for your review - the BRIO train set is definitely proving a massive hit! My suspicion if you were trying to find the Coffee Shop many months ago is that you could have been looking for it when it was still closed and...More

Our first visit since re-opening after the fire. The place is nicely re-furbished. However, my Americano was tasteless. Whether they had re-used their beans I don't know but, it was not fun to drink hot water. The shop, fronting from the street is still worth...More

Hi, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry your Americano wasn't up to our normal standards, we freshly grind the beans for each coffee so I can say the beans won't have been reused. I'm not sure what happened there but will ask the Coffee...More

Papilio at Heritage (previously Heritage in Thornbury) is a gift/home interiors and coffee shop found on the high street of the market town of Thornbury, just north of Bristol. We are particularly popular for our home made cakes and light lunches, all served in a family friendly environment (with baskets of toys and child friendly crockery available). We also have a large garden with both decking and grass, the hidden gem of Thornbury. There are several car parks in Thornbury all offering free parking.
