Had a lovely experience from start to finish when we ate here with friends yesterday lunchtime. Had the trout starter and pork mains(delicous and beautifully presented) and now craving both so will definitely be back. Staff were welcoming and exceedingly helpful re my dairy allergy (never made to feel a nuisance or a freak, which does happen at some venues).... More

Great setting near the Thames, with lovely walks. Kelmscott Manor - really worth a visit - near by. The pub is charming and the food was very good, though we only ate lunch and have not yet sampled their evening fare. We shall definitely be returning.

The Plough has retain the feeling of being the village local as well as a great place to eat. You can enjoy the friendly banter in the bar and eat a hearty snack or you can eat in the very comfortable and smartly decorated dining room. We did the latter and enjoyed an excellent meal. The scallops were perfect though... More

What a gem of a pub and restaurant. Food was fantastic. Really warm and friendly atmosphere. The dining room has had a recent refurbishment and you really feel like being in a little hideaway tucked in a fold of the Cotswold. If you are thinking of going for Sunday lunch do book. It was completely full. Good value and really... More

What a find! Been visiting the area for years and this is one of the best meals we've had there. Good service and a really nice feel to the place, the food was excellent and generous portions. Really couldn't fault it... well my husband will always moan at skinny fries no matter where!! Would recommend and will definitely return ☺

We’d noticed this pub when on a walk to and from Lechlade and decided we should do the walk again starting in Kelmscott and ending at the pub for lunch – we weren’t disappointed. The pub is decorated nicely but still has a cosy, pubby feel, with a good choice of beers on tap and great, friendly service. The food... More

Had lunch here with some family members on Friday. All agreed it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience - couldn't fault it. Most popular dishes? Seared scallops with crispy pork belly, and pan fried plaice for the main.

Impromptus stop whilst exploring the beauty of the Cotswolds. Great food, great welcome, dog friendly and let's not forgot the log fire. Everything one could possibly need! Will definitely be back again.
