We live in the Wye Valley, so decided to try out the restaurant for our 8th wedding anniversary. After a slightly worrying start (our names were in the book, but no table had been reserved!?) we sat down in the lounge, with a cocktail (fairly average to be honest) then were shown to our table. We were given an appetiser... More

Good quality food well presented. Lot of local produce .Not a lot of choice on the menu for some one who does not eat meat.

We prebooked an afternoon tea while we were on holiday, as we like that kind of thing. The location was picturesque, the gardens were lovely and well maintained. But, the customer service is something to be desired. One member of staff was quite rude, so for that reason I would not recommend this place for afternoon tea, look else where.... More

Had afternoon tea here, booked well in advance online. Arrived and staff acted like they weren't expecting us, despite me seeing our name in their diary over the counter. Their restaurant was full, no space had been reserved for us, so we had to eat outside. Disappointed in the attitude of the staff, one lady was unbelievably rude. Would not... More

Imaginative, tasty and well-presented meals using home-grown or locally sourced ingredients. There is a 6 course tasting menu.

We stayed in the hotel and had a package offering dinner, bed and breakfast. The food menu is seasonal, promoting local produce. The restaurant was busy with a mixture of locals and hotel guests. There was more than enough choice and both the meat and fish starter and main courses we had over the two nights were fantastic. Amuse-bouche were... More

We came to eat here as a birthday treat and were pleasntly suprised! The place is beautiful and the food was delicious! The free cray fish entree seemed a little pointless as it was just one crayfish and a piece of salad but it is a nice touch to offer something unexpected. Also for the price the portions were a... We were delighted with the ambience and the quality of the afternoon tea. To be thoroughly recommended! Freshly made finger sandwiches, cakes, macaroons and scones with raspberry jam and clotted cream, yum yum. Clearwell village is a delight and the accommodation offered by the Tudor Farmhouse looked great and although we weren't able to check it out, we determined to... More

We took up a Special Gift of afternoon tea with champagne at The Tudor Farmhouse Restaurant we had been given . We were lucky with the beautiful weather and therefore had it in the gardens and our Goldie was able to join us. The service was very good and attentive. The selection that made up the tea was absolutely delightful.... More

Had a wonderful afternoon tea. Wonderful selection of teas to choose from. The nibbles were scones, macaroons, brownies, lemon cheesecake and lovely finger sandwiches. We also had a glass of bubbly. The service was good and the setting is great. Had a great afternoon. Would definitely recommend and will be going back.
