We had a superb meal last Saturday for our 30th wedding anniversary. Stayed the night and also had a delightful breakfast. We particularly enjoyed the poached oysters. I loved my lobster and my husbands venison was perfect.

Our fourth or five visit love this place wish it was nearer Malvern! Hence yes we drive 40 miles and hour to eat here. Wonderfull interesting menu never disappoints they will adapt items on it to suit I.e. Take of port belly from a scollop starter (I don't eat meat) some establishments will not alter the dishes. Fresh lobster in... More

Thank you so much for your review - they always give a tremendous boost to the team - particuarly the kitchen - who only get our second hand feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back in the not too distant future. More

I enjoyed all three courses, the Spanish fish stew was particularly good. The menu itself is quite fish orientated so you need to like seafood to get the best out of this restaurant. Service was good without any long pauses between courses or constant interference with your meal

Somewhat off the beaten track, this restaurant is a real find. It enjoys a prominent position overlooking the River Severn and has a delightful dining room. The menu is mostly fish and seafood and is presented well. The dishes are composed to a very high standard with great finesse. This is a very good restaurant indeed, take time out to... More

If you love seafood, you'll love this "restaurant with rooms". Although only a few minutes from the M5 Stroud exit, it's in a remote but spectacular location right by the river Severn. We stayed here for a special occasion - good seafood and fine wines don't come cheap - but we've already booked our next. Our room had great views... More

The Old Passage is an excellent choice for any special occasion meal. We've dined here a number of times and each time it has been a wonderful experience. The food is perfect, innovative and correctly priced for the quality & experience. It is a quieter restaurant due to the bespoke nature and small dining space; the staff respond brilliantly if... A smashing fish restaurant with very comfortable rooms in the most perfect location directly on the banks of the River Severn. This is great cooking and the crab starter I had ranks amongst the most delicious dishes I have ever been served. Great place, highly recommended.

Thank you so much, I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at the Old Passage - you picked lovely weather and dinner, in particular the crab starter - you are right it really is delicious - but thank you for letting us know and your comment will be passed on to the kitchen. Sally More

This is a very special place tucked away on the Severn estuary. It is run and staffed by a very good team, highly professional and very friendly. The food is excellent, the chef has just the right balance between inventiveness and respecting the value of good natural food whilst being perfectly cooked. The rooms are very comfortable with some lovely... More

Been meaning to come here for years. Took opportunity when my daughter was over for a wedding dress fitting. Meal surpassed expectations. Scallop started was beautifully done. The bass main course just as good. Portions a sensible size for a lunch. Even managed a dessert. Staff friendly and attentive. Only small criticism is lack of vegetarian options. Would like to... The location is stunning and the restaurant is well decorated, the menu is limited in choice and over priced. The manager constantly watches you, probably in fear of you doing something she doesn't agree with. There is a nicer, cheaper pub down the road that offers more bang for your buck.
