Amazing food, take away only at the moment but grab some food and sit on a bench with great views over the sea. I recommend Halloumi fries, Panko Crumbed Calamari (so fresh, melt in your mouth) & Cinnation bun, (deliciously moist). Maybe a bit expensive...but well worth it.More

Well, still stuck in lockdown, so it’s just takeaway at the moment. But when you can have an excellent Barling Beauty sausage sandwich that’s enough to tide us over...

I make no apologies for reviewing Oliver’s again. After restaurants having to adapt to takeaways once more, we are trying to do our bit. We normally go for Egg and Bacon or Egg and Sausage sandwiches, but I tried a Full English this weekend -...I was wondering how this would hold up on a paper plate, but needn’t have been concerned - presented on a sturdy ‘plate’. Barling beauty sausage, a couple of rashers of bacon, 2 fried eggs, mushrooms, baked beans and grilled tomato - oh and two slices of granary- I could not fault the food or the presentation considering it was a takeaway. Thanks to staff for continuing to provide delicious food and especially my full English!More

Simple home cooked food. Great menu of British classics and unique specials. Big portions, make sure you come hungry! We skipped starters and went to mains with the intent of having one of the amazing desserts. Too full! We aim to return and just eat...dessert!! Only issues for me are inability to book and the fact they aren’t open evenings. The local area needs more restaurants like this. Simple and innovative dishes done well with fresh ingredientsMore

My family and I had lunch here yesterday, we didn't reserve but got lucky with a table. This place is tiny, but the menu is so varied and the food utterly delicious, I don't know how they manage the quality of food in such a...small kitchen. Staff are friendly and efficient. We had a a really delicious lunch.More

Terrible wait time, this is the 3rd time it has happened now. You ring to make a booking they say come in 10/15mins which we do then you’re kept waiting between 45/50 mins probably longer but we left after waiting for this length of time....If the wait is going to be 45/50 then tell people that! I won’t be coming back!!More

We were in Southend wanted fish and chips. Very crowded so had a takeaway. The fish and chips were lovely and hot and of good quality. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Would return.
