We had a table booked at 8:30 but when we arrived the restaurant was full! There was another couple waiting in front of us and a group of 4 people behind us, all of us having an 8:30 table booked. We had to wait ages for a table and then got put in the corner on a table set for... More

I was taken to this restaurant along with my wife by two very good friends as a present to celebrate my 65th birthday. We had been to this restaurant several years before and rated it highly for both food and service. However something has definitely changed for the worse. Our friends had reserved our table for 8pm. At first the... More

Have to say this was one of the weirdest meals I've ever had. Bizarre atmosphere, drinks served without glasses. When they were brought they were held by rim by the waiter. The food was not good. Service poor with one member of staff spending the night polishing glasses when service was very slow. We left quickly and won't be returning.

Staff were surly and rude. Or didn't care. Food was served slovenly and was luke warm and tasteless.

Went with friends last night. There's a nice ambience about the place - there was a live act who covered some great songs. Could have done with turning the volume down a bit though as it was difficult to hold a conversation. It was a while before our drinks orders were taken, and even then my husband had to remind... The worst meal I've ever had in this restaurant, the steak that I sent back for the second time was tough and over cooked, I asked for no potatoes, it came with loads, I asked for grilled tomatoes they were raw. The spinach was swimming in oil. Also the table was sticky I have complained about this a week ago,... More

The service at this restaurant took far too long and when the food did come, it was not of a very good standard. Atmosphere was good but the chairs need a good clean.

Came here on a Friday evening, from the minute we walked in the atmosphere and decor was very pleasant, very polite staff, offered to take our coats, and pulled chairs out etc.. Service was very quick, and we were offered bread before our meal. I ordered a seafood risotto, which was amazing and they certainly weren't stingy with the seafood,... More

Apparently Pancetta spaghetti in this establishment is actually breakfast bacon. I pointed out the discrepancy, but no apology, just some vague comment that that's what is used in this country. Sainsbury's down the road sells it. Not happy, the meal was far too salty and had thick lumps of bacon, NOT pancetta. It's 9.15 pm, was told to wait till... More

We ate here before a visit to Queens Theatre so only had time for main courses and drinks. We had a variety of meals and all enjoyed them. Some of the staff had trouble understanding our requests, and the credit card machine was not in use. It did feel a little chaotic. Spent £25 a head.

Description
Traditional Family and Child friendly Italian eaterie.
Classic setting, with an informal cozy and relaxed ambience .
The restaurant is popular for friends and family as well as for an intimate meal in romantic surroundings by candlelight .
A set menu is available and offers great value, as well as a very well priced drinks list that has a good selection of Italian wines and beer.
Children are always more than welcome.
