So so disappointed. Been in here a few times and the beer and the food was lovely.. really nice. However went in on a Saturday evening for a drink of Samuel Adams.. only to or dismay that it was swapped with seem cheap italian beer which was poor tasting and weak. People where drunk at the bar which made it... More

Dinner with my eldest daughter and her partner. Very friendly staff - all helpful. Good food - my fish platter which I had as a main lacked some dressing / mayonnaise but the fish was good and full of flavour. The lamb burger received good comments as did the steak. My chocolate fondant pudding was a little dry with very... More

1st visit. As coeliac I was given excellent information regards to menu. Steak was EXACTLY as requested - a point, hard to do. Could not recommended food highly enough. The added bonus was very attentive customer service to all who were in by all staff. Thank you Darren and team. We will be back.

Friday night was Mexican night, and a themed dinner (with the same Gypsy Kings CD on repeat). The restaurant was busy but not hectic, and the staff were attentive and friendly. We opted for the normal menu, and enjoyed an enormous Guest Steak (T Bone this time). An enjoyable evening!

I went for a quick drink and a small bite and found the fish cakes very good, and they had a great selection of gins! The staff were friendly and helpful and they have a special burger deal on Mondays! The outdoor space is nice, but we are in the bar area. I would return in the future for sure!

The service at our bar and table were good as was the food but the tables outside were always dirty and littered with dishes and un emptied ashtrays, which made sitting outside unpleasant. I recommend the sausages and mash.

Excellent hotel to stay in for business or leisure. Rooms are big and spacious. Pub area and Resturant are nicely decorated. Staff are friendly. Hotel in rural town location with lots of other shops, cafes, pubs. Would recommend to stay here. Plus 10 mins from stansted airport.

We visit here a lot as it's the only dog friendly eatery in the town. It has the potential to be great unfortunately it's pretty inconsistent. You can order the same thing from the menu and dependant on the chef, the dish will vary quite a lot. The menu is pretty good and prices reasonable however, the execution is not... More

This place is very poor! I lunched here with a friend and the food we received was well below par. Half of our order was forgotten about and when we asked the staff they didn't really seem to care The decor is lovely but don't be fooled that's about as good as it gets.
