I large group of us stopped here for the last part of Saturday night and enjoyed the outside seating area. There were cocktails are plenty and music pumping out which created a fantastic atmosphere which was enjoyed by all of us. With lots of parking at the back it was easy for us to leave our car and get a... More

Food 4/5 but ambience 1/5. The Bay Horse is a little lost in its own identity, offering a good gastro restaurant which serves traditional pub food but is unfortunately engulfed by a very noisy pub. The two separate business lines ideally need to be segregated. The gastro (pub) restaurant is no doubt a great setting for a group meal, but... More

My husband and I visited the bay horse after we purchased a groupon voucher . We were greeted and were told to pick our own table . Waiter then came to us and offered the prosseco that comes with the tea. That was lovely . We were impressed with the afternoon tea. Fresh sandwiches and lovely coffee and walnut cake... More

We visited as a large group for a birthday and despite having preordered our meals days before, we still didn't get our food until gone 10 (booked for 8.30) so some of the party didn't want to go out afterwards as we didn't finish until gone 12!! Food was ok aside from a hair in one of the girls but... More

Hi caulfies77, I am sorry to hear you did not have a pleasant evening, and whilst we were understaffed, we did do our best to address the issues you have outlaid here, on the night. I am here however to address a particular point. The hair in question was examined and found to be bleached-blonde with very dark roots. None... More

A party of 8 and celebrating my mums birthday we had afternoon tea here. My family where a bit drawn back when I told them we where having afternoon tea instead of dinner. There heads where turned as we all left stuffed!. I arrived early to set up the table (birthday bits) this was not a problem and we where... More

My friend & I visited for afternoon tea & we were extremely dissatisfied. Before we had even sat down, we were asked what tea we would like, my friend chose hers & I asked for coffee. We were told that we could sit wherever we wanted - the decor in the pub is lovely. When we were seated, a waiter... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea last week. The sandwiches were well filled, the cake was very tasty and the tea itself was good and strong. We've eaten here many times, always had excellent food - Sunday lunch was particularly good - and the tea was no exception. All the staff were friendly and helpful!

My partner and I held our engagement drinks at the Bay horse on Sunday 28th August and we couldn't of been happier with how the team managed our function. Oliver had gone to great efforts to ensure everything was ready for when we arrived and there was enough room on the terrace that we had reserved for all our guests... More

Visited for afternoon tea with a family member. Received a warm welcome and was sat down straight away (we sat outside as it was a lovely day), plenty of tables and room out side as it was not particularly busy. Received our prosecco - yummy. Received our food - not so much. One sandwich each, 2 tiny slices of cake... More

Popped in for a quiet drink on the patio as it was a lovely day. Got in early to avoid the Ibiza party later, but found ourselves pushed into a corner as the majority of the outside had been set up for a private party. Fine in itself, but the bar was empty and may have been better to put... More
