Loved the décor, the food was excellent, and the staff friendly, polite and efficient. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Will definitely return.

Middle of nowhere. Crammed in like cattle which I guess is appropriate as you are in the middle of farmland. Food pretty good but piled on the plate like a home Sunday roast. Not worth the hassle.

Went to The Cuckoo for the first time after being recommended to us and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent, the service very friendly and the restaurant was very clean and well decorated.

We went to the Cuckoo for our second wedding anniversary. We were welcomed and shown to our table. The menu choice was great, so much we would have chosen but it being the celebration it was we both chose the pate and a fillet steak. Whilst we were waiting we were served homemade bread which was gorgeous. Our pate arrived... More

We went here with friends based on recommendations from other friends and were not disappointed. Excellent food, menu choice and service. Only slight suggestion, our table for 4 had two seats on a bench against the wall and these were higher that the two chairs so felt a bit uncomfortable looking very slightly down, a picky point really as the... On Sunday 4th September I attended a 50th Birthday dinner at this cute intimate restaurant. On arrival the staff and owner were brilliant, really friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We had the chicken and the beef. They were both cooked to perfection and the taste was out of this world. They even asked how we wanted the beef... More

Five of us have just had a lovely evening at The Cuckoo. Everyone loved all the courses they had and there is a good wine selection. Very nice dessert wine listed with the desserts. I had a guinea fowl terrine, confit leg of duck with broad beans and savoy cabbage and a couple of scoops of raspberry sorbet and raspberry... More

First, it is not easy to find, but when you do, you will put in your satnav forever. Food is splendid - not your usual - I had duck confit, my friends had pork and curry. All beautifully presented, wonderful service, quiet surroundings, do not miss this place. The deserts are too fantastic not to enjoy. A wonderful meal, lovely... More

Another beautiful meal at the cuckoo. Service is wonderful and the food is hot, fresh and cooked to perfection. Such a gem to have something like this nearby. My only criticism would be the chips - they were awful. Tasted like stone cold ones from the chip shop refried badly. Still five stars though because the rest of the food... More
