Location and contact

An award-winning 2 AA rosette restaurant with a gorgeous setting bordering the Ashdown Forest. Wonderful views across manicured lawns and lake, unobtrusive music by a resident pianist on the Grand piano, combined with a very professional service create a traditional country hotel atmosphere in which you find yourself easing into a refined state of relaxation. Executive Chef Andrew Wilson and his brigade hit the spot time and time again with thoughtful and imaginative cooking with a modern, yet traditional twist.

Enjoyed an outstanding meal here recently. The staff are outstanding, the service attentive and the food interesting, creative and tasty. We started off with cocktails and nibbles in the lounge overlooking the grounds, which was lovely. I chose off the ala carte menu - salmon...More

A 24 hour meet up with friends, so we all enjoyed a light lunch in one of the lounges, in front of a roaring fire, followed by a brilliantly tasty meal in the restaurant in the evening. Nothing was too much trouble, and the chef...More

The food is generally to a very good standard. I think it does need a bit of a revamp as it really hasn’t changed for years. But it’s a case of it isn’t broke so don’t fix it. Waiters are attentive, a little to so...More

Very poor service, staff need to be sacked. Thirteen of us were absolutely disgruntled. I have been here many times but was shocked at how it had gone downhill. Food was just okay, much, much better before.

From the moment we sat down at the bar we enjoyed ourselves. The waiters brought over the menu as we were having a drink to take our order before we sat down. From there it was warm, catered service and very delicious food! We had...More

The Anderida Restaurant has a very elegant atmosphere and the new refurbishment in the bar is lovely. The food is wonderful, especially the Chateaubriand, our favourite! This is not your run of the mill restaurant, with an amuse bouche to start and a sorbet to...More
