We have visited this restaurant over many years. Pros: The food here tends to be hit and miss. In our experience when they are busy, the cooking is rushed and the vegetables are undercooked and all the food is rushed. THE PORTIONS IN OUR EXPERIENCE...ARE GETTING SMALLER AND SMALLER. The other problem is apart from the Curries, most of the other dishes have very little sauce. So much so, we have heard people on a number of occasions having to ask for more sauce. Our last meal was anything other than satisfactory, as it was missing the cashew nuts. When we asked for the meal to be re cooked, we were told “no” and were given a tiny dish of cold cashew nuts to add to our meal. The desserts are mostly commercially prepared and quite frankly look unappetising. The restaurant is TINY and as for social distancing, I’m not sure they know the meaning of this. ONE OF THE MOST RIDICULOUS THINGS IS THEY INSIST THAT YOU CANNOT ENTER OR SO MUCH AS STEP FOOT IN THE RESTAURANT WITHOUT WEARING A FACE COVERING, BUT THEN WITHIN SECONDS OF ENTERING AND BEING SEATED YOU ARE IMMEDIATELY ALLOWED TO REMOVE IT.
One last point. The serving staff are surly and abrupt and curt in their manner, nothing like you would expect from a Thai restaurant. A particular mention should go out to the young lady server is bordering on being rude when you enter and when she takes your order. She is so miserable, I am surprised that the owner doesn’t remove her from having customer contact. She really needs to learn the importance and value of being friendly, as opposed to being miserable and making us feel that we would rather have chosen somewhere else to eat. It doesn’t take much to smile and be warm and polite to customers and of course vice versa.
In summary all the issues above stop us from wanting to regularly visit this restaurant.
It will be interesting to see if the management on reading this review will care enough to change their ways for the better? If not, in our opinion, they will over time undoubtedly lose a lot of customers, who simply won’t bother coming back. After all, who wants to be served by someone who while taking your order, looks like she is sucking on a pickled onion?More
Pretty basic decor,no frills.Food was ok but pretty unremarkable.
Very friendly and efficient service but the overall experience not really worth the money.
No real competition in the area regarding Thai food so I guess if you know no difference then its ok.
If you...want Thai food I would head into EastbourneMore
Visited here for the first time for an office meal at lunch time. For lunch there is an option of two or 3 courses with around 5 or 6 starters and mains to choose from as well as a couple of desserts.
Starter was the...butterfly prawns which were excellent
Main was Thai green curry, this was not the best i have had , there was no choice of heat level and it was very mild, it also has a very mushroomy soup taste,
Dessert was banana fritter and ice cream which again was excellent.
overall very good, very friendly staff and i will return for an evening meal at some pointMore
