This is probably our fifth or sixth visit to the '45' now and although the menu has changed slightly over the years, you can always be assured of some good old fashioned Belgian cuisine. Mussels, about 40 odd different ways, are, as usual, excellent and...More

Worst customer service - it was about 4pm mid week and we walked in to enquiry about dinner and the manager with a face like thunder told us to leave if we hadn’t booked in advance.

This is just a lie we are not open at 4pm any day mid week. Opening hours midweek we close at two thirty and reopen at six. Not sure what your agenda is but it is not very nice.

The delightful (fairly new) owner is learning his new trade quickly. The Redhead went for tender and lightly dusted fried calamari and tempura batter goujons of local fish and was duly impressed. I had very tasty whitebait followed (boringly) by moules mariniere. It all demonstrated...More

At present we do not have a gluten free menu but we do stock gluten free flour so we can make batter on request. We do not have separate fryers.
