I have been here lots of times..its probably the best cafe for lunch in the area..save forThe Darsham Nurseries,,which is a different kettle of fish..It gets very busy so may be best to book..Good simple well cooked food..from a B L T to more.Highly recommended

A busy and popular cafe upstairs. The coffee beautifully made and leaf tea freshly brewed. The staff are attentive, appear well trained and friendly. Thank you.

We have visited this cafe for lunch on numerous occasions and always enjoyed our time here this time unfortunately the food was poor . I chose the sardines which were served with ciabatta and salad leaves , whilst the sardines were tasty the ciabatta was dry and inedible I pointed this out to the waitress who just said sorry and... A lovely fresh snail in my lunch, their excuse? The salad is organic!!! I work in a customer facing occupation, if I spoke to me the way that manager today spoke to me, I'd be out of a job! Poor customer service, livestock in my food and a very poor excuse for an apology. Avoid it at all costs!

We chose to visit Snape Maltings to view the market and go for a walk. Having spotted the signs for this cafe we decided to go inside. Once we arrived we were told by Front of House there were no tables available and given names of other eateries to try. I spotted a family ready to leave and asked if... More

The cafe is in the grounds of Snape malting so. It is inside a large warehouse type place that sells everything from a potatoe pealer to a kitchen table, but you'll need deep pockets to afford things here. We decided to have some afternoon tea, my wife had coffee and cake of the day with cinnamon. She commented it was... More

The Maltings is an interesting collection of buildings set in a beautiful riverside location. As well as the famous concert hall there are spaces where art is exhibited and on sale. There are also some great shops selling clothes and furniture which are a bit out of the ordinary; a garden shop too.

This small cafe/ restaurant always pleases. A spicy carrot and coriander soup with chunky bread and butter followed by grilled fresh mackerel with chestnuts on frisée lettuce and new potatoes made an excellent lunch. The mixed game casserole was also very tasty. The previous week we had enjoyed a salad of roast fig with walnuts and blue cheese. All dishes... More

This little restaurant does classy food for the discerning customer. Excellent coffee. Great service. If you love chunky chips these are about the best you will ever have and a portion is good for 2 as it is huge!! May be sensible to book at busy times as very popular.
