Wow, this is a find!! big fresh cooked portions, it is pub food and not the Ritz, has a big log fire, keeps lovely crisp beer, food is fresh and not microwaved mush, the place is spotlessly clean, OK the menu is real pub food and not some bits of stuff on a plate dressed with twirls and colours, but... We wanted to sample the fare at this pub, but were advised that they could not accommodate wheelchairs and had no facilities for disabled people. Furthermore, on the telephone I was interrogated by the lady taking the booking about why I wanted to go there as I have dietary needs . Decided to give up in the end. Beware if... More

This is a quintessential REAL village pub. The atmosphere is so friendly, relaxing and welcoming... and it was full of genuine village residents who all knew each other! The food was properly homemade and delicious, arriving in generous portions and served with a big smile. We called in twice and each time friendly well behaved dogs bought their owners in... More

Our first visit proved we'd made a good choice. Clean, friendly, comfortable, great food and welcoming hosts. Will definitely visit again.

Dined twice, once of necessity and once by choice. Husband extremely pleased with Chili Con Carne and also Fish and Chips really good. Host and hostess very obliging and willing to chat on a quiet night. Honest to goodness village pub deserving greater numbers. Worth popping into this hidden gem of a village.

We eat here regularly, as do several of our friends and neighbours, and it's always good. Excellent atmosphere and very friendly.

The owners made us feel welcome, and the pub has a very relaxing environment. The beer was well managed as well. As a local, I'll be coming here regular for a pint and food.

quaint old pub in small village friendly staff basic fare but nice fresh vegetables, they were very quiet not much trade perhaps in a small village location but our meals were ok what we expected and we were not disappointed. We would eat there again

We've eaten here three times because we live nearby. There's always a good fire, the beer is well kept, the food has always been very good. It's not high cuisine, but for a small pub the food is really very good. We've always been made very welcome. I hear the pub is for sale so I hope that doesn't mean... More
