What a lovely place, my friend had booked and I was full to capacity inside and out when we visited at lunch time. Lovely tearoom with a conservatory area as well as gardens, wonderful selection of delicious cakes and treats. We shared an afternoon tea and I couldn't fault it, really delicious delicate sandwiches, scones and cakes, beautifully presented. Option... More

We were fortunate to have had a Gift Voucher for Folly Tea Rooms as a Christmas present so were able to book in advance. Actually arrived early but had a pleasant greeting and were shown to our table and invited to order within a few minutes. We sat in the Conservatory and the place was lovely and warm. We ordered... Lovely Tearoom and more! My husband and I found this delightful eatery tucked away in holt. We are so glad we did ! The decor and atmosphere are lovely and staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We ordered lunch of mixed mushrooms on toasted brioche with salad ,and Bacon,Brie, and cranberry sandwich which arrived with salad and crisps. The... More

What a find! We parked behind Folly's and stumbled upon it whilst looking for somewhere for a late lunch. Contrary to some of the other reviews, the service was exemplary. We were given a choice of tables and opted to look out over the garden. My partner chose the Gentleman's Folly and I elected the Cheese Folly. A large pot... More

Afternoon tea for four was lovely. We'd booked and so were seated quickly. We ordered two traditional and two gentlemen's teas. Plenty of food and delicious tea. We all had more than enough and were able to take cakes home too. All beautifully fresh and home made. Quiches, sausage rolls on the gents teas were warm, as were the scones.... More

My mum and I live locally and often go to follys. We went a couple of weeks before Christmas and entered the cafe. We were stood waiting at the till for 10 minutes whilst many waitresses walked past us and ignored us. We then asked if we could sit, the waitress was rude. We sat down for 20minutes and no... More

Here on a recommendation, after 2pm and wanting a bite to eat. Hidden away in Hoppers Yard, stress free from the High street. Very friendly and helpful staff. We decided on sandwiches and when room - a cake. Lovely decor. Nice selection of sandwiches, we had Beef and horseradish plus Coronation Turkey. As you will see from the photos beautifully... More

We were recommended this venue and were delighted at the pretty and quirky style. After finding our own table we waited for some time trying to catch a waitress's attention as did other clients. There seemed to be a great deal of walking around, discussing and not serving happening. Some tables were not being cleared. Eventually we were served and... More

Took my Mother and Father in law for afternoon tea and it was delightfully charming. Had 2 traditional and 1 gentlemens and was sufficient for 4 of us. Quaint tea cups and tea plates none of which match and a cosy atmosphere. Very busy at all times and booking is essential. Lovely staff and hospitality.

As big supporters of small tea rooms, and being in the catering industry ourselves, we know a good tea room and cake when we see one! The afternoon my mum and I had was the best that we had ever had! And the most amazing value. The portion sizes were massive and we got a lot for the price. The... More
