I visited here with my friend after a morning shopping. I had what they called a Latte but it was more like a milky coffee that formed a skin on top, it was nice though my friend had tea and we both had a piece of coffee and walnut cake which was really good and nice and moist. Was not... More

In the summer it is a lovely spot to have a pot of tea a sandwich and a tea cake served off bone china. The service is usually prompt and a high standard has been maintained since a change of hands, which is reassuring.

Lovely local tea room with plenty on offer and helpful staff! Nice added touch of being able to purchase gifts in the shop too.

We've been staying at Queen Anne's Summerhouse on the nearby Shuttleworth Estate. The tea room also has a small shop on the side with essential provisions which has been perfect - a lovely four mile walk there and back. Today, we tried the cakes. The Victoria sponge and Bakewell slide were perfect - moist, generously sized, lavishly filled and obviously... More

Especially lovely in the summer as the gardens are stunning! However unfortunately the scone, cream and jam were not very good as the sconce was hard and it all didn't taste very fresh. I would to try again with a cream tea! Until then I will have to venture elsewhere for my cream tea fix :/

Either way a nice place for a traditional tea and cake or even a salad lunch. Quite village location. Can be busy so advise able to book. Friendly staff.

I can not express how much I love this place I have 2 very fussy teenagers and the loved it too. It is small so you may have to wait for a table. But it is worth it food was outstanding staff where very friendly I can't wait to go back

Lovely, reasonably priced afternoon tea in the cosy tea rooms! We pre-booked for three and were in a cute little private corner in the tea rooms and enjoyed every bit of the afternoon. There's no tea menu but the tea was perfect, as were the cakes etc, including the gluten free options for one of our party. Can only recommend... More

This is a small and yet wonderful tea room with knick knacks to purchase dotted around the place. It does get very busy but a table usually becomes free within 10 minutes. They serve lovely tea in china teapots with china cups and saucers. It serves home made amazing cakes, scones and lunches and is friendly, busy and vibrant. Parking... More

I'm showing my age now by comparing this amazing tea shop to a Lyons corner house, the menu on offer is 1st class. But what makes this shop stand out is the fantastic welcome & service.

Description
The tea room used to be the Southill Post Office until it was closed down a few years ago. It is a jewel. We pride ourselves on home baked cakes and scones and hope that you enjoy them just as much as we do.
