This is a small and yet wonderful tea room with knick knacks to purchase dotted around the place. It does get very busy but a table usually becomes free within 10 minutes. They serve lovely tea in china teapots with china cups and saucers. It serves home made amazing cakes, scones and lunches and is friendly, busy and vibrant. Parking... More

I'm showing my age now by comparing this amazing tea shop to a Lyons corner house, the menu on offer is 1st class. But what makes this shop stand out is the fantastic welcome & service.

Food and service are excellent. What let it down for me was a charge of 50p to use my bank card. One must spend £15 or more to not pay this extra charge.... l know usually the threshold is £5 although never heard of it being £15!! Happy.....nope!

This is such a charming little place, you feel like you're stepping back in time from the moment you arrive. The gardens are wonderful to sit out in on sunny days, the inside a bit closely packed and needs booking to ensure a table. It's not hugely child-friendly due to layout and amount of china! Tasty food (slightly expensive afternoon... More

What a wonderful discovery. This is my first visit, and I shall be back for many more. The atmosphere was very relaxed, and you didn't feel rushed at all. It was so quaint inside, lovely table settings with cloth tablecloths! I had tea, my friend had coffee, both were hot and welcoming. My naughty slice of coffee cake was delicious.... More

Service is now a bit lacklustre and food not as good as it used to be. The coffee and tea are still great. We used to use this many times during a week, but now only use occasionally when we don't want to travel.

Another great meal here at the tea rooms. I regularly come here for both breakfast and lunches as the staff are so friendly and the food is great. The also offer great gluten free options including bread, rolls, sausages, scones and cakes! On this visit i had a breakfast and it was delicious. I will always return here, could not... More

Super cute tearoom out in the villages near me. Sat with my friends in a little booth, was so cute - it felt like we were in a dolls house. I had camomile tea, bacon roll....and a cheeky slice of bakewell cake....yummmeee. Staff all very lovely and chatty. A little gem in a gorgeous little village. Will be going back... More

Arrived at four on a Saturday and the sign outside said it was about to shut but we were old they could accommodate tea and cake still. Very quaint little place decorated very well. Cake was homemade and delicious and staff very friendly!

Lovely location and friendly staff but the ham platter I ordered, at £6, or there abouts, consisted of a bread roll, a sprinkling of lettuce, small bowl of onion relish, a chunk of cheese and a very small amount of ham which looked, and tasted like packet ham which had been cut into one quarter of the original slice and... We are sorry to hear that your lunch was not up to your standards. We do cook our ham every morning and cut int slices, I can assure you it is not packet ham. We do cut our slices into quarters for presentation purposes however if you feel that the portion size is too small I can only apologise for... More

Description
The tea room used to be the Southill Post Office until it was closed down a few years ago. It is a jewel. We pride ourselves on home baked cakes and scones and hope that you enjoy them just as much as we do.
