Very good restaurant. We had pepper steak: quality of the meat was very good, side dishes were good too. It is in the center of the town, good position. Soup of the day was tomato soup, excellent taste! Good choose! Recommended

We ate at kroa twice. We had no reservations which meant we had to wait. Kroa is always booked by tourists and locals for food and drinks. You can just ask for a table later in the evening (we arrived home late from excursions anyway). But if everyone does that you'll regret not reserving a table. The menu is simple... More

Kroa is a lively post-excursion place in the relative 'hustle and bustle' of Longyearbyen's main strip. The decor is ski-lodge rustic, with a nice touch being the reindeer-hide covered menus and placemats. The food is very good; I ordered the smoked minke whale appetizer and a whale steak (which I had never had before) as a main dish. The portions... More

This is the firendliest and best Place in central Longyearbyen. Good food and a nice selection of drinks in a very rustic and polarinspired Environment. The staff is very nice and compared to mainland Norway it is cheap.

We were a group of nine people who had pre-booked dinner here, at this somewhat rugged place. Everything is clean, but it has a great atmosphere and offers the "real feel" at Longyearbyen. I recommend to pre-book, as it was completely full the night we where there. Food was great and the service fantastic even though the place was packed... More

Probably the best restaurant in Longyearbyen. Good lunch, but also a nice place for a dinner. Good quality and service!

Adjoining the Basecamp Hotel the restaurant continues the rustic theme. The menu was in both Norwegian and English and the staff were extremely helpful. Being in the far north the sun stays up 24 hours a day at this time of the year. The food itself, I had a steak, was excellent - one of the best I've had here... More

Ate there twice, the food was good, varied and plentiful, my wife is vegan, so they went out of their way to prepare a suitable meal for her. The waitress actually came back after she delivered our food to apologize that the noodles they served us were egg-based and replaced the dish at no cost.

Recently we were in Longbranch and eight at Kroger twice. Both times the meal was good and the decor is worth visiting. The variety on the menu is quite limited at lunch however of local delicacies reindeer stew (Think chipped beef on toast) is the only "Local" dish. The shrimp salad sandwich seems to be the best thing from among... More
