We went as a part of an organised event by Diamond Resorts. There was nothing to fault. The food, wine and service were excellent. The food was Cretan but was presented in a high class restaurant style. We were offered wine to match the food which kept arriving at the table. Te views over the harbour added to the ambience... Waited a while to even be asked about food- no question about drinks! Took a while to arrive but was nice. Service very disappointing! Waited 15 mins for pudding menu but to no avail. Ended up Going up to ask for bill and was asked where were we sat? Explained it was a crazy night by waiter. Bill finally arrived.... More

Very rude staff. No cocktails. They give you bread and then charge you for it! Only offer WIFI to the locals. Ice cream tasteless. Food plain.

Went here last night in a group of 20 from our holiday club, the food was lovely, the courses kept on coming and the wine kept flowing, was great to taste the traditional Cretan dishes, the owner and staff were all great, and made us feel really welcome

An excellent restaurant by the sea. Very good food and service..right in the heart of the town the night we were there there was a Greek band with traditional music. A lovely evening ,and would go again if we ever return.

I'm a chef. Great food and service from start to finish but prices are too high, regardless. Would recommend only to people not on a budget holiday

We visited here three times but only for the kaimaki/mastiha Greek ice cream, which was the only place on the sea front that offered this flavour and that was home made, organic and delicious. Lovely view but did not try the food, seemed a bit high brow for us and not a fan of sea food, a little too posh,... More

Description
CRETAN DIET- Recipes for Living
The excellent health and longevity of Cretans is attributed to their traditional diet.
Crete is famous for its rich agricultural production and excellent quality of its products. Local preparations, home dishes and wines have built a name for Crete, while the descriptive term "Cretan Diet" has been the standard for the Mediterranean Diet.

MEDITERRANEAN CUISINE
The word "Gastronomy" was born in Greece. It grew up in France - Italy until Spain also adopted it. In a few time it was worshiped worldwide.
Kymata Restaurant follows the trends of gastronomy & present you the "Sous-Vide" cooking method!

SUSHI - The Bridge over the waves of taste
Sushi is based on the fresh daily obtained seafood from the Cretan high sea's.
It is Highly nutritional & contributes to longevity.
The combination of Japanese-Mediterranean cuisine is a suggestion that will surely gain your enthusiasm.

VINOTHEQUE
The best Greek wines to accompany your meals.
Wine is part of the Cretan culture. The traditional way of living on the island pairs wine with lunch or dinner. This association has roots in antiquity, when a chunk of bread dipped in a cup of red wine was considered excellent breakfast.
Cretans never drink alone. Wine is an occasion for companionship and socializing. Cretans drink within a group of people who share a meal, talk and have fun - this is because the Cretan diet is a way of life. Modern wine industries on Crete have exploited traditional grape varieties, past experience and the accumulated knowledge on viticulture and wine making.

At Kymata Restaurant you will come across to rare Greek wines, that you will be able to purchase as a present or for your own pleasure at home.

ATMOSPHERE - MUSIC
A dinner over the sea under the moonlight is surely a unique experience and along with a finely selected music ,it will make it memorable.

VALUE FOR MONEY
There is no economical - expensive meal: we highly respect your money ,therefore we grant you V for M.
