Within Abaton Resort & Spa.
Right on the beach, with great views of the Sunset.
Friendly staff, with one guy a dead ringer for Paul Whitehouse. I kept expecting him to say something funny like Geordie / Brazil character!
Lobster, prawns, sardines and whole fish...are stand out meals.
Couldn’t resist ordering €195 Snapper that I fortunately managed to convince my girlfriend to share as I didn’t know wether to fight it or eat it, as it was so big!More
This was my partner and I’s first stop whilst on holiday, visiting Abaton Island Resort. We had done our research and noticed that the sunset views looked incredible, whilst also offering a brilliant menu. It was everything we expected, and MORE! The view of the...sunset drawing in was beautiful, whilst the food was superb. I had the lobster risotto, whilst my partner had the champagne salmon linguine. The staff were extremely attentive and very, very friendly - a superb team and a credit to the Abaton resort. This restaurant is a MUST when staying at Abaton.More
Mid May; lovely early Mediterranean summer.
The setting could not be more conducive...yards away from the shore, waves lapping gently on the rocks.
And what a superb restaurant:
1. Great location and surroundings.
2. Wonderful staff...understated but professional and really helpful and friendly
3. The...food...delightfully fresh seafood...octopus that melted in the mouth; catch of the day prepared as you like and served professionally
4. A really good selection of local Cretan and Greek wines
I shall be back there...More
Great new Abaton Hotel experience. After eating in a couple of the restaurants we arrived at Bony Fish. The food was exceptional and the location on the beach side was beautiful and romantic. Service was discrete and attentive. We ate here during most of our...stay because the experience was so good. From the fish to the risotto to the whole lobster beautifully presented to the fish soup (light, fresh and delicious) to the deserts the meals were ... simply sublime. The little 'amuse bouche' dishes, frankly, we could have done without, but everything else was simply outstanding. I even found out the chef's name and shook his hand at the end of our stay the cooking was that good - Chris Manolis.
Some nights the restaurant was quiet - but it just added to the atmosphere and the design and layout of the restaurant gave plenty of room, style and intimacy to the restaurant. Prices were fair and the choices were excellent. We ate virtually the whole of the menu and we had nothing less than perfection on every plate. it was obvious that great care had gone into each dish. Worth mentioning the creme brulee - the best i've eaten in 20 years - light creamy and divine.
Whether you are a local or a guest - I rate this restaurant extremely highly for the quality of the cooking and presentation - outstanding and in no small means to the chef I'm sure. Congratulations to the team.More
As guests at Abaton resort we were offered 4 types of restaurants. BonyFish was the only one we returned to. The food was delicious and Thanasis, the manager, was fantastic. He and his waiters gave us an excellent service. Among the dishes we ordered, the...salmon, seabass and the risotto were remarkable.
We are looking forward our next encounter with Thanasis.More
Visited this restaurant while staying at the Abaton. My partner and I were one of two tables in the restaurant so the atmosphere was completely lacking.
However, the food was excellent and the prices were quite reasonable.
One criticism would be that the restaurant didn't...have 2 of the bottles of wine we wanted. Seemed odd considering the main hotel bar had these wines.More
