Had 2 meals in the same weekend - because the first one was sooooo good. I didn't realize that a Club Sandwich could be so good - fantastic bacon; lots of super-fresh lettuce and tomato, and a perfectly toasted piece of great bread. Wow -...I just loved it. Dinner was also very, very nice - though timing is critical - many of the restaurant guests, including ourselves, were dining before a student concert. This caused a crush of orders at the same time, and many were late coming out (small kitchen). The staff did their best, but we were late for the concert.More

We were visiting the Schnormeier Gardens near Gambier in June and stopped at the Kenyon Inn and Restaurant for lunch. Since this was in June, college was already on summer break - consequently the restaurant was not crowded at lunch time. There were four of...us traveling together and we all ordered different items off the menu and we were all very pleased with our selections. The service was excellent and the food was extremely good. In my never-ending quest for a great burger, I tried their grilled lamb burger which came with a choice of fries, chips, salad, fruit or cup of soup. Of course, I had the fries - what's a burger without fries.. My better half enjoyed the Reuben with chips. All four of us thought lunch was excellent and would come back again.More

Went here to celebrate my wife's birthday. Wanted to have a memorable dinner experience , and we had it, only the memories made were not pleasant. When seated, there was one other table of five in the dining room. Our service was insanely slow adding...to the frustration of paying out of this world high prices. Menu was very limited however the food was good, but nothing stellar. Go for lunch. Much better and more reasonably priced. There are better choices nearby in Mt. Vernon for a nice dinner.More

Visited our son and brought him to dinner here last night. Absolutely excellent from the quality of the food to the quality of the service. The salads were fresh, the steaks and salmon was fresh- perfectly seasoned and prepared. Looking forward to eating here again!...One of us decided to eat vegetarian and had the pad thai, which was also GF and it also was great--which surprised us because generally we don't order pad thai at a non-Thai restaurant.More

We enjoy visiting our son at Kenyon college and an extra perk has become having brunch with him at the Kenyon Inn and Restaurant on campus. Such a charming spot. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. The food is cooked to order and oh...so tasty. Everyone finds something delicious on the menu including our nine year old. Today I had their Omelette du Jour! So good! Not to mention their desserts. I have had their strawberry shortcake - Yummy! Their Guinness and Bailey’s Irish Chocolate Cake is simply AMAZING! For us it is a great way to end our visit with our son before going home.More

A last meal with our son before leaving him at Kenyon on his birthday. We had a early reservation at 530 and there was no problem getting in. Became a bit busier later on. Staff was pleasant and food came out hot. I would say...that in comparison to other areas of the country this area of Ohio really loves to salt their food. This does detract from enjoying more subtle flavors. I would say that for the price and reputation, the actual food was only average. It is the only place to get a finer meal in this small town, but it may be worth traveling a bit out of the area, if you are really into food. Since people were checking out, I did ask to see one of the rooms – they appear well-kept and very pleasant. The facility itself seems quiet, which is a plus. Unfortunately, they told me that during parents week or graduation, it is almost impossible to get a room. Even though they will schedule 51 weeks in advance, almost all the rooms are usually reserved for members of the parents club (?good reason to join?). For the average parent. They recommend looking to stay in Mount Vernon nearby.More

Had dinner while staying at the inn. I had an appetizer and a salad, and it was delicious. First time here, and I was impressed.
