I’ve never been disappointed at the 818! Had some friends from out of town come to visit,so we went to the 818 and everyone loved it!
This place is off the beaten path and mostly local people dining here. The food is pretty good and the bartender knows how to mix a drink! Always had a good experience when visiting here.
Arrived about 7 pm and were seated right away. My husband had the Smothered Chicken & I had the special, Stuffed Tilapia Both were generous portions and tasty. The Tilapia was the best I have tasted.
We often go here just when we don't want to cook at home. It can get busy and you might have to wait, but usually not for long. The food is average bar fare with specials too. It's just one of those drop in places...More
My boyfriend and I had dinner here. Service was slow. Food was OK. I ordered tiramisu for dessert and there was mold in and on the tiramisu. Rejected that and requested that it be removed from the bill.

Wonderful atmosphere for lunch or dinner! My husband and I used to go here when we dated and celebrated special occasions. Still a great restaurant. I love their prime rib!
In the heart of Fremont this is a stapple, from fried perch to salad, the 818 has a varied menue. It is a very small space and the bar is the heart of the club. It hasn't changed in over 30 years.
We went around 5:30pm and got right in. Service was a little slow but the food was good and not expensive. When we left, there were people waiting outside. Busy place on weekends.
