Stopped in for a dinner on a Saturday evening. We sat on the patio; a musician was playing a nice blend of 70s and 80s (think James Taylor / Jimmy Buffett.) Nice atmosphere, excellent food, but the best part was this table was covered by...the outdoor bar staff and Aaron was top notch. It looked like they only cover one top...man, try to get that one if you go. If everyone there takes care of the customers like Aaron did...wow.More

The Lunch Specials are a good buy at $13.95. Generous servings of large half sandwiches, with choice of full-sized soup or salad. Friendly, prompt service from Sarah! Very good French onion soup. Iced tea was also good. Interesting setting in an old warehouse, and a...lot of patio seating under table umbrellas.More

Great little gastropub! Traveling thru. The hotel recommended The Garrison. So glad they did. The bartender "T" is vivacious and efficient. She greeted everyone who entered with a smile. She made a few recommendations and I had a thoroughly enjoyable snack of Pork Belly and...Hot Honey Roasted Brussel Sprouts with a glass of wine. Will be back if my travels bring me back this way.More

When the Garrison first opened the food was really good. Everything I had (and I went about once a week for a while) was delicious. They have always struggled with service, but that is a management/training issue. I was in the restaurant business for a...long time, and I know bad training issues. The last 2 times we've gone, it has taken over an hour to get our food. Once was a Friday evening at 6pm the last time was a Thursday at 5:30. Then when the food eventually arrived, it was all cold - all 4 of us - cold burgers, cold fish, cold chicken. And the server never came back to check. I have had their burger a few times and they always ask how I'd like it cooked. Medium rare, please. And it ALWAYS comes out well done. The same with the steak - I had the $30 NY strip that came out beyond well done. I sent it back. It took another 30 minutes. Everyone at the table was finished when they brought my nearly raw steak out and asked it if was rare enough, The waitress brought our check without asking if we wanted any dessert or anything else. We told her we wanted after dinner drinks, at which point she huffed and took the check back... What can I get you. Our friend ordered an Irish coffee I got a Basil Hayden "up" and my wife got a bailey's and coffee. The bartender had no idea what "up" meant for a mixed drink and didn't know how to make an Irish coffee. That's bartending 101! My Basil Hayden cam out, watered down with small chips of ice and less than 2 tablespoons of liquid. What a rip off! Sorry... we spent over $150 last night on drinks and dinner and the only good thing was the craft beers.More

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The food was perfect, the service was perfect. Our service was provided by Cynthia G. If I did not live 3 hours away, I would dine everyday. Thank you.

I have eaten at Garrison several times in past and all has been very good. However, on St. Patrick's Day Dinner 3-18-22, the potatoes, cabbage, carrots were all cold, and the amount of corn beef was hot, but underwhelming in portions.

As hospitality professionals and caterers, we’ve cooked and enjoyed exceptional cuisine. From ribs to prime rib, we’ve tasted great food. The Garrison has magic going on in the house. Jimmy was on top of things the night we dined. Our server Mary couldn’t have been...more pleasant. She was attentive and friendly. We were told the history of the building and shown a dessert tray by a lovely hostess as well. REALLY wanted to eat there the next day for lunch, however, time constraints kept us from indulging. If there is a way to ship those ribs to us or share the exact recipe, we’ll send $!!! Keep the magic going🤙🏻More

We had a wonderful meal starting with appetizers, pretzel bites, pork belly, roasted Brussels sprouts and sauerkraut puff. Four of us ordered burgers ( very good meat and a good bun) and one ordered fish and chips, huge piece of cod and French fries. We...all had boxes for take home. Everything was excellent! Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. I am looking forward to another visit very soon!More

Fun local place wait staff is freindly and attentive. they forgot or tables appetizer and just went straight to the mains, acted like an app was a new invention when i asked about it. Other than that this is a great local place pretty sure...or issue was an isolated incident. would still recommend.More
