What a lovely little place! Wonderful decor. Home like feeling. Cuisine very very diverse. Owner is friendly and involved and has extensive knowledge about various cuisines. They serve HALAL meats; which is wonderful to have even in a small town.
During COVID, our small family group in town for a wedding decided to drop in. We were greeted by a lovely lady who found room for us away from others, and made suggestions from the menu. Coming from Savannah, we're pretty spoiled with good food...options; but very much enjoyed the hospitality, and tasty and exotic variety we enjoyed here. Huge trays (Around the World Platter) of marvelous food were handed about, shared, compared, and discussed.
When the server found two of our party were getting married the next day, she brought out complimentary desser trays and....Sprite to toast their futures. The food was so good my husband and I returned the next day to try some additional dishes. Altogether a delightful place, I think the total wound up $10-15 per person, VERY reasonable, and we left with doggie bags. I'll be back if I'm ever in that area again.More
Very slow service . I waited 20 minutes just for a drink. On top or the slow service because there was one person working the owner was very rude to employees... I felt for them and felt bad I had choose to eat there! The...food was good, but the overall experience was somewhat unpleasant.More
Ordered the around the world for two with chicken meat, a small fatoosh salad and a small lentil soup.
Around the world comes with the chicken mandi, potato and chicken curry, fried rice, dal from Bangladesh, hummus, Filipino pancit, Greek gyro, Vietnamese stir fry.
The...hummus tastes good, nice and lemony, it was fresh and flavorful. It’s not as smooth but it’s an intense lemon punch and good.
The lentil soup is runny, lentils are crushed blended down, it’s lemony and the cilantro gives it a nice fresh taste.
The small salad is small, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes and onions, it was much smaller than was let on by the waitress, but sufficient enough.
The chicken mandi and mandi sauce were okay, the mandi sauce is quite sour and bitter, made me scrunch up on its own. The chicken wasn’t bad, small but tastes okay on its own.
Greek gyro was okay, a bit dry but okay for what it was.
The pancit wasn’t bad either, nice amount of veggies and had good flavors.
The Vietnamese fried veggies was my favorite, lots of intense flavors and some good kick to it too.
The chicken and curry were also quite yummy.
The owner came out and greeted all of the guests and made sure everyone was satisfied with their meal. She is super friendly and amiable. The rest of the staff are friendly and attentive too.
The food here is intriguing, complex and tantalizing intense. I would recommend their around the world.More
We ordered the "Tour of the World" selection from the menu and were very happy with our choice. A large platter with a variety of tasty dishes from all over the world. The meats were so tender you could eat them off the bone with...a fork. They don't serve alcohol and do allow you to bring your own; they even provided the glasses for our wine.More
what a surprise to find this little restaurant with a world menu. started with a egg roll as a appetizer than we were offered soup. can came the big surprise the around the world plate. two or three people can share this plate. what a...surprise to get so much for the cost. the people are very friendly. and we walked out with a full stomach. there are a couple of table to eat outside if its not to hot. unfortunately we didn't have dessert.More
Today was our first time at Circle of Friends. I wish I had stopped a long time ago. The good is delicious! We got the “Around the World” for 2 and it was amazing! Every thing we tried we’d eat again...even down to the salad...dressing! Portion size is big and prices are cheap. We paid $25 for our meals and two egg rolls (which were amazing too) and easily this would be a $40-$50 meal in a big city! Did I mention the hummus? Get it!!!! I can’t wait until we can go back! If you haven’t stopped and like to try different foods, stop here! It’s well worth it!More
Across the street from St. Andrew's Methodist Church just off of Main St.
Excellent experience for lunch with my significant other. For 26.00 (plus tip) we were able to share a giant feast with drinks and desert. I would recommend for first timers to get...the Around The World--Filapines, Lebanon, Arabia, Jordan, and India. Everything is made in house. The owner Dolly is always there; very friendly and checks on every customer. I know they cater as well. A lot less business than they should have, so if you like it let others know.
