Loved the food and the service will come back repeatedly. The small plates were wonderful and the ambiance was quite unusual. Going back this week.

The drinks where fabulous. They had some super delicious drinks that are unique. I would have preferred to sit outside. The inside had a sewer smell. Food and service was great.
This is an unexpected gem of a restaurant. Two couples from Columbus spent the Labor Day weekend in Lake County. Based on reviews, we came here for dinner. The drinks were delicious and the food was excellent. We tried several vegetable tables, the tuna, the...octopus, and the turkey meatballs. Everything was delicious, skillfully prepared and nicely presented. We all enjoyed this meal and strongly recommend it!More
Recommended by my brother and stepson, my wife and I finally went to Pompadour and were treated to some great small plates expertly prepared. These plates are perfect for two people to share and in that way a couple can try several on a constantly...rotating menu. That night we started with the warm citrus marinated olives($6), followed by the cocoa, almond dusted goat cheese stuffed dates with chorizo and scallion($12). Next, we shared an order of grilled lamb loin with ancho chili mojo, cornbread crouton, goat cheese and pickled carrot($18) and an order of sesame crusted seared ahi tuna with watermelon agua de chile sauce, cucumber salsa and garlic soy jus($14). We finished with an order of the short rib ravioli with grilled peach, whipped ricotta, short rib au jus and fresh basil($14), and an order of moulard duck breast with parsnip puree, macerated strawberry and sorrel($15). Items we would like to try are the charcuterie board which is usually two meats and two cheeses, the grilled octopus, the grilled berkshire pork tenderloin and the seared sea scallop. The menu does change on a regular basis, reservations are required and you must leave a credit card when reserving in which case they will charge a $25 fee/person if a reservation is not kept. It is a small venue and so they reserve that right. The wine list is rather spartan as wine lists go, but adequate. If you like mixed drinks, you are in luck. A very nice selection of unique mixed cocktails expertly prepared. Beer list is adequate. If you get a chance, don't miss The Pompadour. You will not be disappointed. Service was above average!More
We have dined at the Pompadour many times (in our hometown). It is a small plate restaurant. Each time is a great experience! From the "Cadillac of bartenders" to chef Rusty's creations, it is an experience you will long remember. We dined there this past...Saturday night (you definitely need a reservation on the weekend nights). Started with the Shishito Peppers, moved on to the Spinach Catalan and Octopus Salad and finished with the Calabres Filet. Each dish was exquisite! New specials all the time. Very friendly and attentive service. Quite reasonable prices. Highly recommend. Voted one of the top 25 restaurants in Northeast Ohio. Dinner only, not open for lunch.More
Drinks are fantastic, we even enjoyed watching the bartender making them almost as much as drinking them Apps and food (small plates)are delicious- the pairings the chef created are top notch - fun to share Service is fabulous and friendly Menu changes with chefs creative...mood Highly recommend calling for a reservation and giving them a tryMore
This is the first time I had dinner and cocktails at The Pompadour. You enter through a velvet curtain reminding you of a speakeasy. The cocktails were creative. I had The Pompodour 28 which had a tart blackberry feel with bitters. I’m not doing the...description justice. It was very nice. The small plates were wonderful. The potatoes with chorizo, the spinach with apples and pine nuts and the steak crostini with arugula, roasted tomatoes, and horse radish sauce. Shall I say yum! My husband had the braised short ribs. Could it be better than the steak crostini? Maybe. They were both delicious. I would like to go back soon.More
Found on search, We decided to Visit. We were glad we did. Original one of a kind small plates from $7 to $21. Prepared when you order. Dont go if you are in a hurry. We spent two hours. 5 small plates, 4 cocktails and...met new friends. Drinks are all made with extra touch, around $10 for cocktail. Will go back. Nice venue and patio.More
The small plates were average and the drinks took forever! This place is not worth the hype or cost.
The food was excellent and the drinks perfect. Service was spot on. The only let down was the volume. It seems that locals like to hang out there which is perfectly fine but it did get a bit noisy. Was expecting a more quiet dining...experience. Overall had a wonderful time.More
Enjoyed handful of wonderful small dishes and all were wonderful both in taste and visual appeal. Tuna ceviche, crab cakes, soft shell crab, peach caprese, coconut panda cotta. All small plates but we left very full. Great service too.
First time visitor. Had a great time. The tapas were delicious. You can order as many as you want until you’re full, and they were all fantastic! Good assortment of craft beers made the evening delightful. This quickly has moved to the top of my...go to restaurants....love it!More
We decided to try the restaurant based on a social media post. We did not know what we were walking into. The staff was very knowledgeable about the cuisine and very helpful explaining what Tapas is. We had the Pork a la Sidra and Lamb...Rib Chops with a Orange Blossom Pavlova for dessert. The food was very flavorful and the presentation was perfect. It was the last thing we expected to find when we walked in the door and we will be walking in many more times in the future.More
This place is AMAZING!! Try several dishes, split with your company. Flavor fusion/flavor profiles are incredible. Drinks are the best you will find anywhere. TOP NOTCH!
I had heard about this restaurant and love the Tapas concept. As a foodie I was anxious to taste this creative little place for a food adventure I will have to say I will give them another try and upgrade my rating if some things...are different. We had four plates plus desert. Two plates were EXCELLENT! The octopus salad was SUPER, the Ahi Tuna salad was EXCELLENT and very different. The Potato chorizo balls were Good, well done and appropriate for what they are. However....the chef took his eye off the ball on the Mexi Sliders. They were Burned and should have not been served. My dining companion would not even eat them, I could taste around the bitter char and there were some good flavor combos there, but way too burned to be served. Our other disappointing dish was the Flan. Our waiter commented that they had a specific pastry provider for the restaurant that was excellent. Being very versed in flan, I was excited to taste their twist. The sauce on top was suppose to be chocolate (I thought according to the menu) but it was cajata, but OK. The nut topping was pistachio AND Walnuts with a nice sugary coating, very tasty. But the Flan was not flan at all, but a cheesecake like mixture in the shape of a flan cup. No syrup baked into cup, the texture was more like cheesecake and not custard at all. And to boot it appeared to be frozen.... Overall though I will be going back for some of the creative cocktails, nice atmosphere and to retry the Mexi Sliders. I hope this next time they are better!More
