Recently had dinner at 1808 Bistro. The evening started out nice as we were a little early but seated right away. We ordered our drinks and they made one special for us that was not on the menu. The drinks were served and we were asked if we wanted to order our meal, declining we ordered an appetizer to start.... More

We tried 1808. (I had been there before, wasn't too impressed) we sat in the bar area. Loved this atmosphere. Food was fresh and different. We had appetizer, pasta and dessert. The dessert was recommended and didn't disappoint mmmm yum! We will be going back!

Really solid menu. They gave seasonal items that are to die for! Awesome beer selection. Good portion size. Friendly wait staff. It's not the Ritz, but I feel it's the best Delaware has to offer. Always look forward to going back!

Great service, great food, great drinks. The Woodford Manhattan alone is worth going for. 48 hour short ribs are superb. And the beignets for dessert dipped in espresso with whipped cream melt in your mouth. Worth the short drive from Columbus!

It is always fun to go to 1808 because the staff is fun and most willing to share their insights about the menu. We often find the appetizers far more interesting than the entre menu. On our last visit we had salad of shaved asparagus with a 64 degree egg and a very nice hollandaise. Calamari lightly fried with goat... More

When your date night with friends is the best part of your stressful week, you owe a great review to the restaurant. I had low expectations due to my crotchety week. But once we sat down and had our waitress assist us with our starters, we were already laughing and having a great time. If you enjoy seafood then the... More

We had read good reviews of this place and wanted to check it out, finally did so on a chilly, wet Saturday night that was not too crowded. The location itself is nice - open, high ceilings, reminiscent of the steakhouse that used to occupy the space but classier. The bar scene in front was very active, due in large... More

The best draft craft beer selection around. Always reliable food. Bread pudding to die for and great atmosphere. Our go to in Delaware.

It is a cute older restaurant. Had lots of choices of specialty beers. Food was ok. My husband got the$30.00 steak and mushrooms and Brussel sprouts. All things he loves. Sadly the whole plate was burnt. He ordered steak med well but more burnt outside and all pink inside. Sadly the mushrooms and Brussel sprouts were all burnt as well.... More

This restaurant features delicious food that's slightly edgy. It also boasts a very complete bar. The location is perfect in Delaware, near the historic Strand Theater, Sandusky Street's antique malls, and the outstanding public library. (OK, I run the public library, so maybe I'm biased on that one.) But 1808 Bistro is worth a detour off US 23 or I-71,... More
